Freeze is mainly there for back up, as he is not very strong. However he can freeze opponents, making attacking a strong foe a bit easier.

Ice Blast
LF2 Freeze IceBlast.png

Freeze throws a ball of ice, freezing foes on contact. This is also created whenever Freeze reflects. However don't rely on it too much as it has a couple of major weak points:

  • It can easily be destroyed by long-ranged weapons.
  • It is slow.
  • If the foe has a good sense of timing (or is lucky) then it can be reflected by a close-combat attack.

Of course it isn't all bad, especially if the target is wrapped up in another fight. It also has a nice side effect of turning energy blasts into ice blasts and onto the opponent. Just don't use it to much. If a foe is frozen, it does more damage to break them out rather than to leave it.

Summon Sword
LF2 Freeze SummonSword.jpg

Freeze creates a sword made of ice as use as a close-combat weapon. This is good as Freeze is usually weak in close combat. It freezes the foe if it hits, again buying time to strike other foes. The problems occur when Freeze is knocked down. The sword can be grabbed by foes and used against you, so smash the thief as soon as possible to stop problems. Otherwise it's a great weapon.

Icicle
LF2 Freeze Icicle.jpg

Freeze creates three icicles in front of him, freezing foes who were standing where the icicles were created. This is quite reliable, as these can only be smashed, and so can be used to block certain long-ranged attacks. However, if the foe is attacking when the icicle is created, it is smashed, and there are some easy ways to do this (just ask Firen).

Whirlwind
LF2 Freeze Whirlwind.jpg

Freeze creates a whirlwind in front of him that freezes and chucks about foes who come into contact with it. It is possible to keep this attack going by continually pressing F7. This attack cannot be destroyed so it is best to avoid it. Its only problem is that it costs a lot of MP. Otherwise it's a good attack. Note that if you keep pressing F7 it won't actually do any damage.

Fuse

Destroys Freeze and Firen but creates Firzen. This will immediately procure an Arctic Volcano at the location of the fusion.
