The following are the controls used by the game.

Menus

  • Neutral dpad: Move cursor.
  • A button or Start button: Confirm selection.
  • B button: Cancel; return to previous menu.

Erasing save files

The player's save files can be deleted from the "Data Select" screen.

  • Select button+A button+B button: Display "Erase?" prompt above selected file.
    • A button: Deletes the selected file.
    • B button: Cancel.

Miscellaneous screens

This includes screens similar to the title screen or the solution screen displayed after a puzzle is solved.

  • A button or Start button: Continue.
    • Start button does not have a function on screens related to creating or loading a temporary save file.

"How to Play" tutorial

  • A button: Continue dialogue.
  • Start button: Return to "Game Select" screen.

Puzzles

  • Neutral dpad: Move cursor.
  • A button: Chisel selected cell; undo chiseled cell.
    • Press A button while on a blank or crossed out cell to chisel it.
    • Press A button while on a chiseled cell to restore it back to a blank cell.
    • Hold A button while using Neutral dpad to either chisel or undo all cells the cursor moves to.
  • B button: Cross out selected cell; undo crossed out cell.
    • Press B button while on a blank or chiseled cell to cross it out.
    • Press B button while on a crossed out cell to restore it back to a blank cell.
    • Hold B button while using Neutral dpad to either cross out or undo all cells the cursor moves to.
  • Start button: Pause the game.

Pause menu

  • Neutral dpad: Move cursor.
  • A button: Confirm selection.
  • Start button: Return to the game.
    • It is not possible to unpause from any of the submenus.
