Oho Oasis (Thunder and Fire Temples)[edit]
Fortunately, this time you're sent directly to the next location. In this small island, is where the Fire and Thunder temples are located.
Thunder Temple[edit]
This is right upwards from the place you are when you get to this place. Enter the temple, and then enter another room from the upper left corner. Here you want to move to the room on the right, and you'll have to use Luigi to advance through the steel gate. Then move forward and you'll enter another room. In this room, use your hammer to destroy the wall with a lightning on it. After the guy says he has no business with you, head to the lightning orb and interact with it. Afterwards, you'll learn to use the Thunderhand. Then, go to the room to your lower left, and in that room use your new ability to electrify the orb that needs power. You can now reunite the bros.
Fire Temple[edit]

From the place you start in move left. Now enter this temple. If you did the thunder temple before, this is the exact same but inverse. Head to the room with the fire orb with mini Mario, then smash the wall blocking your way. Wait for the guy to stop talking, then interact with the orb. After you learn the Firebrand, head to the lower right of the room, and in the next area lit up the spot that needs fire. You can now reunite the bros.
As a fun fact, you can fight the blob-like residents of the temples by using your hand abilities with the bros. This will result in a fight against them.
New "Enemy": Oho Jee (Red & Blue)
- HP: 100
- As expected, fire is effective against blue ones, and thunder is effective against red ones
- It's very low chance that you get into a fight with them accidentally, but they only give 4 XP so don't waste your time.
Oho Ocean Seabed[edit]
In order to get to Oho Ocean, you'll need to go right to the place you were at the start with the save block (and heal block in the 3DS version) and you'll see two spots that are the same as the ones you had to use in the temples. Use Mario and Luigi in their respective spots, and a bridge will appear allowing you access to Oho Ocean
Once there, you'll be in a room with another save block. You'll have to go left, and you'll see the path is blocked. Will see a spot with fire on the left, and an empty one to the right. Use Mario in order to lit up the spot, and make your way through. In the next room, swim in order to avoid the spikes. In this area, you'll find a few new enemies
Goomdivers
- HP: 30 (54)[1]
- Goombas that decided to go for a swim. Their attacks are easy to avoid, and keep in mind that when they're elevated, ground based moves won't work.
Bloopers
- HP: 60 (78)[1]
- Countered by hammers. They're weak to thunder, but only attack them with the advanced Thunder Bros move, as a normal hand attack will not work since they're elevated.

Elite Pestnut
- HP: 40 (66)[1]
- Similar to the pestnuts you found in the woods. This time, the beanies when being exposed, will go afloat and therefore be eliminated.
In this first room with spikes, head to the door in the lower left. In that room, you'll see an orb that needs power. Use Luigi to help you proceed. In the next room, there will be more bloopers. Although goomdivers can appear along bloopers, so can the "Elite Pestnuts"
In this room, you'll notice there's even more spikes. You must head to the upper left of the room. In the next area, you'll see a button you can push. After doing so, to the left a combination of fire spots will appear. Lit those spots in the correct order, and you'll be able to proceed downwards. In this room, all you have to do is head left. In the final room of this visit, you'll see yellow pipe, taking you to the Beanbean Kingdom. After entering, you'll see how Fawful uses Bowser's body to put what's left of Cackletta after you fought here. This is very relevant in the story.
Beanbean Airport[edit]
In the Beanbean Kingdom you'll be in a locked gate, but you can easily push the button in order to get out. Here, Peasly will tell you that Princess Peach is going to arrive in the kingdom. So now, you have to make your way to the Beanbean Airport. From the room you're in, go left, down (and in this room, go left and you'll see a gate Luigi can go through. Use it and make him go to the room in the left. Here you'll see a ! block you can use to reunite the bros and make your way to the next area, which is to the left) then go left, and you'll see a tree with a sign. From here, go down and you'll see two orbs that need to be turned on by Luigi.
After doing so, you can proceed to the airport. In the first room of the airport, you must head to the lower left part. There lady lima will tell you that there's piranhas on the road, and you need to clear them out.
In order to get rid of the Piranha Plants, you must not fight them, as they re-appear. What you have to do, is get to the fountain that is nearby in the room, and spit the water at the Piranha Plants. After that, Luigi must use the thunderhand to shock them, and make them disappear. After clearing all of them, you'll have to fight a boss.
Boss: Mom Piranha[edit]
- HP: 220 (320)[1]
- She starts with two red piranhas in fron of her. These red piranhas alongside the mother (while being red) are weak to thunder, and get healed by fire. As the battle progresses, she can summon blue piranhas, and even turn blue herself. In this state, she's weak to fire, and gets healed by thunder.
- Her attacks can be easy to avoid with the right timing, there's one tricky attack that involves both Mario and Luigi jumping at the right time in the same turn to avoid being hit by her.
