Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games/London Party

London Party is the party mode of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. It plays more similarly to Mario Party than the party mode present in the prequel. Players walk around London talking to characters to get an event or a bonus minigame to play for stickers. After playing, the stickers are placed in the sticker book and the process is repeated until Big Ben chimes (during either 6 AM or 6 PM, marking either the morning or the night). At this point, the player with the least amount of stickers in the sticker book chooses an event to play for a larger amount of stickers. The game continues until someone fills up their sticker book completely, in which case the game ends and the standings are announced.

Rivals

Occasionally, a rival will appear. They can be challenged for a larger sticker that takes up four spaces in the sticker book. The rivals and their events are as follows:

• Dry Bones: Table Tennis

A few rivals can also be faced again in the same London Party for a rematch (Eggman Nega, Dry Bones, Omega, Birdo).

Bonus Minigames & Events

If a character isn't a rival, they either have a minigame/event for you or they'll just talk. If they're not hanging out just to talk, these are some of the bonus minigames you'll find:

Protect the Diamonds	Lakitu	: Move your character : Jump : Pick up the diamond Work together to keep the Lakitus from taking the diamonds away from the park.
London Sightseeing Tour	Lakitu	: Move your character : Jump Find and go through all six gates first to win.
Highway Ring Collectors	Charmy	/: Slow down/speed up /: Move to foreground/background : Jump Collect the most rings while avoiding the obstacles and making it to the finish line to win.
2 on 2 Tag: Pipestyle	Charmy	: Move your character : Jump Work together with your partner to either evade or catch the other team. Use the pipes to get around.

Athlete Characters Quiz	Red Shy Guy	: Choose an answer Answer the questions based on all playable characters correctly. The faster you correctly answer, the more points you get.

Grab Bag Quiz	Cream	: Choose an answer Answer the questions based on all quiz topics correctly. The faster you correctly answer, the more points you get.
Coin Collectors	Pink Toad	: Move your character : Jump : Use item Walk around London collecting as many coins as possible. Finish with the most coins to win.
Coin Collectors: Spiny Shock	Pink Toad	: Move your character : Jump : Use item Avoid the Spinies while collecting the most coins around London. Finish with the most coins to win.

Orbot Cubot Tag	Metal Sonic	: Move your character : Jump Work together to avoid being tagged by Orbot and Cubot. If one of your teammates is caught, touch the cage to release them. Have everybody free by the end to win.

3 on 1 Tag	Jet	: Move your character : Jump You can either be on the team of three or the one being chased. Avoid the other three or catch the one to win.
3 on 1 Vacant Lot Tag	Jet	: Move your character : Jump The same as the 3 on 1 Tag in a different location.
2 on 2 Tag	Jet	: Move your character : Jump Work on a team of two to catch the other team or run from the other team.
