Baby Park is the only 5 lap race in Mario Kart DS. There are no shortcuts, or real hazards. You just have to drive, and turbo boost the turns. Snaking is possible, but not always the best way to race in this, because you can fail the turns.
The best way is to drive straight, then start power sliding before the turn, and release as soon as you can making the shortest turn possible, with your added boost.
This is one of the easiest tracks to unlock staff ghosts. If you are having trouble, use Yoshi in Egg 1. It seems to be the best combination for this race.
