There are three Etc. Mini-Games, all of them obtainable through the final board, Bowser's Gnarly Party. The first two, Bowser Wrestling and Panels of Doom, will only appear if you reach Bowser on that board while Mega-sized. The Final Battle! is the final Mini-Game in Story Mode, which is played after completing the board.

Bowser Wrestling

Bowser Wrestling
  • Rules: Now you must wrestle with Bowser! First, wait until I say "Stomp 'Em" to shove your opponent! Then push them out of the ring!
  • Controls:
    • A button: Shove
    • L button/R button (alternating): Push Opponent

The best strategy for this game is to trade blows evenly with Bowser. When a Golden Mushroom appears, either allow yourself to be knocked back into it or pummel Bowser far enough back so that you can reach it. The Golden Mushroom gives you infinite energy temporarily, which is enough time to knock your opponent out of the ring.

Panels of Doom

Panels of Doom

Note: Unlocking this Mini-Game also unlocks Panel Panic in the Extra Room.

  • Rules: Match dice with Bowser! First, you must pick a number. Then we roll the dice! The place matching the number on the dice will crumble and fall away! If you roll the dice, and get your opponent's face, then you win instantly!
  • Controls:
    • Neutral control: Move
    • A button: Select Space/Hit Dice Block

This is a luck game. However, since you are going first, you have odds slightly over 50/50 of winning. Just pick a square and hope for the best.

The Final Battle!

Note: This Mini-Game is divided into five sections.

  • Controls:
    • Neutral control: Move
    • A button: Jump
    • A buttonA button: Ground Pound

You have 10 hearts, one of which is lost every time you hit a hazard. You automatically lose all of your hearts if you fall in the lava.

Section 1

The first section

This is a platforming section. You have 60 seconds to cross four platforms. In the center of each platform is a pillar of fire, and multiple jets of fire extend from it at equal intervals. They all rotate consistently and won't change direction unexpectedly. You have much more time than you need, so move slowly and cautiously, and be extra careful when jumping between platforms.

Section 2

The puzzle, before being moved

This is a sliding puzzle. You will move a tile to the open space by doing a Ground Pound on it. The Koopa Kids will occasionally drop fire balls on you, which you need to avoid. The Koopa Kid with the fan can send a small tornado at you. The order in which you should Ground Pound the tiles is:

  • Bottom Right
  • Top Right
  • Top Left
  • Bottom Left
  • Bottom Right

Note: The initial positions of the tiles and thus the order to ground pound them might be different if you've already beaten this mini-game once.

Section 3

The beginning of the third section

This is another platforming section. There are six platforms, though two of them don't have any fire, and you can take one of two paths to reach the end. The time limit is 60 seconds. Take the left path, as it is slightly faster and easier. It's okay to lose one or two hearts because you have ten. Some fire jets rotate faster than others or have more jets of fire on them, so time your jumps between platforms carefully.

Section 4

The puzzle, before being moved

This is another sliding puzzle. This time, there are 8 tiles instead of 3. Bowser's only attack is a fire boomerang, which is relatively easy to avoid. The order in which you should Ground Pound the tiles is:

  • Top Left
  • Middle Left
  • Bottom Left
  • Bottom Middle
  • Bottom Right

Note: The initial positions of the tiles and thus the order to ground pound them might be different if you've already beaten this mini-game once.

Section 5

The battlefield. Bowser is obscuring the fifth switch from view

This is a battle with Bowser. You can damage him by Ground Pounding three switches that line the battlefield. Lines will connect them, and after a few seconds, lightning will damage anyone standing in the perimeter. However, switches will deactivate eventually, so be quick. Bowser has five health, so it can take a little while to defeat him. He has several attacks. One is a charge attack, where he runs in a straight line at you. If he hits you, you get knocked back, and it can become a one-hit kill if he knocks you into the lava. He still has his fire boomerang, and he can breathe fire. When he is not attacking, he will walk slowly toward you, and you can position yourself to lead him into the lightning zone if you are smart. Focus on avoiding his attacks and you'll be fine.
