Weapons[edit]

Zero can obtain a variety of melee weapons. To get these, you need to find their Rare Metals and then buy them from the R&D Lab.

Z-Saber[edit]

Zero's standard weapon, which he has from the start of the game.

D Glaive[edit]

A very long lance with a much better range than the Z-Saber; however, you have to hit the enemy with the glowing tip for it to work.

Σ Blade[edit]

This can only be unlocked in a New Game +. It's a very long sword with a range only slightly shorter than the D Glaive's, although its entire length can damage enemies. Also, every attack performed with it is a Guard Break.

B Fan[edit]

This has a shorter range than the Z-Saber, but it generates a shield around you that can deflect enemy fire when you are standing still.

T Breaker[edit]

A large, slow, very powerful hammer. It goes through enemies' shields like they weren't even there.

K Knuckle[edit]

This enables Zero to perform hand-to-hand combat techniques.

Techniques[edit]

Tenshouha[edit]

  • Obtained from: Optic Sunflower

Press Down dpad + Special Weapon while on the ground. Zero punches the ground, and a huge column of light appears around him to destroy enemies within it. This is the only technique that uses weapon energy.

Juuhazan[edit]

  • Obtained from: Gravity Antonion

Press Special Weapon while on the ground. Zero performs a very strong but slow overhead slash. This is a Guard Break.

Dairettsui[edit]

This technique replaces the Juuhazan when the T Breaker is equipped. Zero slams the T Breaker into the ground to cause an earthquake. This can break through some floors.

Ganzanha[edit]

This technique replaces the Juuhazan when the K Knuckle is equipped. Zero punches the ground in front of him.

Rasetsusen[edit]

  • Obtained from: Dark Mantis

Press Special Weapon in the air. Zero performs a spinning slash while hovering in place. Press Down dpad, DownLeft dpad, or DownRight dpad to send Zero rolling in that direction.

Senpuukyaku[edit]

This technique replaces the Rasetsusen when the K Knuckle is equipped. Zero performs a spinning kick that can damage enemies on either side of him.

Raikousen[edit]

  • Obtained from: Gigavolt Man-O-War

Press Special Weapon while dashing. Zero teleports forward, leaving a trail of lightning in his wake.

Raijinken[edit]

This technique replaces the Raikousen when the K Knuckle is equipped. Zero dashes forward and releases a large bolt of lightning.

Enkoujin[edit]

  • Obtained from: Burn Rooster

Press Down dpad + Special Weapon while in the air. Zero's weapon turns to fire and he thrusts it straight down.

Enkoukyaku[edit]

This technique replaces the Enkoujin when the K Knuckle is equipped. Zero performs a flaming kick diagonally down and forward.

Hyouryuushou[edit]

  • Obtained from: Avalanche Yeti

Press Up dpad + Special Weapon while on the ground. Zero's weapon turns to ice, and he jumps up and performs a spinning uppercut with it.

Shouryuuken[edit]

This technique replaces the Hyouryuushou when the K Knuckle is equipped. Zero jumps up and performs an icy spinning uppercut.

Rekkyoudan[edit]

  • Obtained from: Earthrock Trilobyte

All of Zero's weapons turn orange and become able to deflect enemy fire.

Youdantotsu[edit]

  • Obtained from: Bamboo Pandamonium

Press Left dpad or Right dpad + Special Weapon while on the ground. Zero darts forward with his weapon extended. This is a Guard Break.

Renyoudan[edit]

This technique replaces the Youdantotsu when the D Glaive is equipped. Zero performs a series of six thrusts.
