There are three yellow runner bags hidden on every level, including the prologue, for a total of 30 bags throughout the game. While going through a level, red runner symbols Mirror's Edge runner symbol.png appear indicating the presence of a runner bag. Collecting runner bags doesn't give you anything in-game, but does count toward three of the achievement/trophies:

Mirror's Edge Trophy 13.png Bag lady: Find all three bags in a single chapter.

Mirror's Edge Trophy 14.png Ran out of fingers: Find eleven of the hidden bags.

Mirror's Edge Trophy 15.png Packrat: Find all 30 hidden bags.

The chapters are broken up by checkpoint in case you want to go back through after completing the game, so you can skip to the right place. Whenever you pick up a bag, wait for the saving symbol to finish, and then you're free to quit back to the main menu to start another checkpoint or anything else. You don't have to complete the chapter for the runner bag pickup to be logged. When choosing a chapter from the menu, the number of bags you've found will be displayed, letting you know where you need to check.

The Edge

Checkpoint B
  • After getting across the first set of rooftops and into the next building, you'll find a bag on top of the duct you take to where you crawl through the air shafts.
  • After dropping out of the air shaft, run up the stairs away from the guards and through the first door. To the left, in the opposite direction of the next door you have to go through, you'll see a bag at the top of the far shelves.
Checkpoint C
  • On the building where you have to get past the two guards, there is a bag under the blue platform the second guard is standing on, between the ducts down there.

Flight

Checkpoint A
  • Starting out the chapter you jump down to a building then run across it over a couple electric fences, then jump off the red platform at the other side. Before you make the jump off the red platform, you'll find a bag on top of the little building on the left with the two ducts coming over the side. Wall run, turn and jump to the red bar between the ducts, then turn around and swing to the roof to get the bag.
Checkpoint C
  • While the helicopter is chasing you, right after you jump down to the big red cushion, you'll run between two buildings where the helicopter won't follow you. Jump down to the landing in front of you, but before jumping over to the blue fire escape on the other building, check behind the AC units for a runner bag.
Checkpoint E
  • After coming out from beneath the plaza, you'll head across an open space with a couple cops in your way. Usually you go up the steps at the big red statue in the middle of the area, but instead take a left before it into the recessed area beyond the floor waxer. Hop the fence on the left and get the bag that behind one of the AC units there.

Jacknife

Checkpoint A
  • When you've made it into the dry waterway and are running down it, stay up on the left side and go behind the blue pillars after the first metal gate you run through to pick up a bag.
Checkpoint C
  • In the area where you have to go up all those green platforms and there are snipers everywhere, when you get to the top where you jump from concrete platform to concrete platform, head down toward the light over to two jumps to the third concrete platform. From there go right jumping across platforms to the other end where you'll find the bag leaning against the door on a green platform. There are snipers off to the side where you'll have to wall run down to, so it helps to take them out with the sniper rifle from the first bad guy you come to.
Checkpoint E
  • When the crane raises the red boards you're standing on back up to the surface, jump off the end and go straight and find a runner bag behind the forklift in the back of the area.

Heat

Checkpoint A
  • When you drop down from the first air shaft, look behind you and grab the runner bag behind the boxes in the little hallway.
Checkpoint C
  • After taking out the three SWAT officers and climbing up the the pipes to the building above, jump across to the next building, but instead of going right to the red door, go left around the fenced in area to pick up a runner bag.
Checkpoint D
  • At the end of the chapter after crossing the cranes to the red cushion, look up at the top level of the crane on your right and you'll spot a runner bag. You can jump to the crane's ladder from the cushion to get up to the bag.

Ropeburn

Checkpoint A
  • When you get to part where you have to go down to the first door inside, go past it (either wall run to the other side or climb up the red pipe if you went down). The runner bag is sitting next to a box out in the open.
Checkpoint C
  • After dealing with Ropeburn and you have to go back down through the building, you'll go into an elevator then climb on top of it and send it to the bottom. Instead of going through the air duct, go to the opposite end of the elevator shaft and jump up the small ledge below an elevator door right next to the runner symbol on the wall. When the SWAT officer opens the door, climb up and strike him. Inside you'll find the runner bag.
Checkpoint D
  • When you get down into the subway, after running past the cops or taking them out, you'll hop down onto the tracks, take a ladder up and a beam across to an air vent. When you through, turn to the right and jump across the three bars to the far platform. Around the corner, climb up the metal bars to the right of the runner symbol, then jump up to the duct on the right to get the bag.

New Eden

Checkpoint B
  • After going up the red pipe, jumping to an AC unit sticking off the side of the building and wall running over to the next building, you'll find a runner back between the two large AC units in the fenced in area with barbed wire on top. This is just before the yellow billboard advertising Vesade+ (your five-a-day in a can!).
Checkpoint C
  • After doing the double zip line, jump over to the next building, and you'll find a runner bag atop the tall metal structure on the left. Climb up one of the AC units you'd normally go under to continue on, then turn around and wall run to the tower.
  • When you get to the mall, you'll cross the empty indoor courtyard, then wall run to a red bar leading to an air vent. When you drop down the other side, climb the truck in the loading bay before going through the red door to find the bag.

Pirandello Kruger

Checkpoint A
  • When you get out onto the concrete stairwell in the beginning of the chapter, go down to the bottom and take the vents along the side of the building with the orange banners down to next roof over, where you'll find the bag. From there you can just jump down to the red cushion instead of using a zip line.
Checkpoint B
  • After hitting the switch to raise the garage door, go in and get into the office above like you normally would. On your way to the other side where the red door is, look down on the left at the shelves in the dark part of the hallway to get the bag.
Checkpoint C
  • At the part where you have to start the conveyor belts to proceed, head to the far corner from where you entered the area back where you climb the shelves to gain access to the office. In that corner, wall run turn and jump to the closest shelf to find the runner bag.

The Boat

Checkpoint A
  • When the chapter starts, you'll find the bag around the side of the building you climbed down to get to the bottom of the ground. It's right next to the forklift back there.
Checkpoint B
  • After getting off the truck, you'll make your way through a green area with a bunch of SWAT commandos. Head up the red pipe at the back of the are to the overhead ducts. At the top, head away from the wall with the pipe as you normally would, but instead of continuing on after going under the first duct, go right and back around the way you came on the other side of the ducts. At the other side you can to left (this would be parallel to the wall with the pipe on it as it's on your right). At the end is the runner bag. You can see this bag from where you first jump onto the ducts from the red pipe.
Checkpoint D
  • When you get out onto the top deck of the ship and the sniper is shooting you, go right and head through the open doorway in front of you. On the opposite side of the room are some barrels and boxes with a runner bag behind them.

Kate

Checkpoint A
  • After escaping the pursuit cops and heading inside, you'll follow the hallway around to an elevator. Before going in the elevator, look behind the boxes in that room and grab the runner bag.
Checkpoint C
  • At the part where you have to ascend the two concrete towers by going back and forth between them and climbing the yellow scaffolding around them, go over to the tower opposite the one you start out climbing. From the white bundle with the runner symbol on it, jump to the platform across from it to find the bag.
  • After you get to the top of the concrete structures and into the air ducts, go straight when you come to a fork (to the right is the way down to the room with the rifle) and you'll get the runner bag at the end of the duct.

The Shard

Checkpoint A
  • At the start of the chapter, after you go through the first red door, turn right and look up above you as you go down the hallway. You can see the bag from underneath the blue metal grating. Wall run and jump up to the edge of the grating to get the bag.
Checkpoint C
  • The runner bag is in the room with a bunch of SWAT officers and a couple riot cops with all the red couches where you need to get into the elevator at the other end. You start here if you go directly to the checkpoint from the menu. The bag is up on a balcony on the right side of the room as you're facing the elevator you need to get to. From where you enter, immediately go right and vault up the red chair behind the stairwell and slanted pillars.
Checkpoint D
  • After you've made it out of the elevator, down the shaft, out and around through the ducts and swing bars, you'll come to an air shaft to crawl through. After the drop where you need to roll to avoid taking damage, go left instead of straight back to where you'll see the runner symbol on the wall. Stand up there, face back the way you came and wall run, turn 180° and jump to the duct above. You'll find the final runner bag there.
