Moto Roader (モトローダー?) is a futuristic racing game developed by Masaya and published by NEC for the PC Engine in Japan, as well as in the US for the TurboGrafx-16. It was later made available on the Nintendo Wii and Wii U Virtual Consoles. The game is the first in a series which includes Moto Roader 2 and Moto Roader MC. The game is among the few which permit five players to race simultaneously.
Moto Roader is a top-down racing game for up to five players. As well as regular races, there's a few unusual modes mixed in as well. The game uses a feature later seen on Micro Machines, in which those lagging behind are pulled forwards to stay on-screen, but doing so continuously will eventually eliminate them from the race.
