Mr. Driller 2 is a puzzle arcade game that was released by Namco in 2000; it runs on the company's System 12 hardware, and as the name suggests, it is the sequel to Mr. Driller, which was released in the previous year (and, it is a spin-off from the Dig Dug series, for its main character, the eponymous "Mr. Driller", is in fact: Susumu Hori, the son of Taizo).
For this sequel, two players can play simultaneously. The second player will have to control a yellow-and-gray-suited version of Mr. Driller. However, this feature was removed when the game was ported to the Game Boy Advance, in 2001. The game was also ported to the Microsoft Windows operating system in 2002, and GBA conversion was later rereleased on the Wii U Virtual Console in Europe on May 15, 2014; it was also rereleased in the North American and Japanese region on July 17 and August 20 of the same year respectively.
