Mr. Driller G is a puzzle arcade game that was released by Namco in 2001; it runs on the company's System 10 hardware, and is the third entry in their Mr. Driller series. The players have to use a 4-way joystick to take control of two of six protagonists, Susumu Hori ("Mr. Driller" himself), his father Taizo Hori (better known as Dig Dug), his brother Ataru Hori, his dog Puchi, his robot Holinger-Z, and his German rival Anna Hottenmeyer, along with a singular button to make them drill through the various coloured blocks beneath them - and this game also features multiple modes of play, including "Race" and "Survival". Furthermore, in the "Versus" modes, it is possible for one player to gain an advantage over the other as they go further into the ground, depending on which characters they have selected.
