The cars in Need for Speed: High Stakes is more detailed than Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit. For the first time, cars have transparent windows where the driver and the interior can be viewed. Players can also take down the roof of a convertible and vice versa. Like previous Need for Speed titles, cars have a showcase option where players can look up real-life information and pictures of the car.
