Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) features a wide range of cars available for purchase. An unlocked car can be accessed from the EasyDrive menu. Each car has a specific set of traits including acceleration, top speed, control, weight, offroad, and toughness. A vehicle with better rating shows green bar, worse rating red bar, and with equal rating blue bar. All of these traits combine to give each vehicle an alternate set of capailities. These traits can be customized by using performance modifications. Every vehicle except for the Ford Focus ST and the Dodge Charger SRT-8 can be unlocked with the player discovering their Jack Spot within Fairhaven City. Vehicles are unlocked through the player's SpeedLevel progression and the completion of Multiplayer Milestones. Some vehicles have a 'Need for Speed' logo next to their name within EasyDrive; this shows that the car cannot be customized with performance modifications or be resprayed. All vehicles are divided into six classes: Everyday Class, Sports Class, Muscle Class, Grand Tourer Class, Exotic Class, and SUV Class. Each class has their own strengths and weaknesses. All cars are placed in alphabetical order.
