Dhurke Sahdmadhi's Testimony
- Dhurke Explains Himself -
  1. I was struck by a sudden dizziness the moment I entered the tomb.
  2. The next thing I knew, I was standing there with a bloody knife in my hand.
  3. And lying right in front of me was Inga, dead as a doornail.
  4. I've no recollection of what happened in the interim.
  5. But I didn't kill him. At least, I don't think I did. It'd go against everything I believe in.

- What Rayfa Witnessed -
  1. On the day of the murder, I was gazing upon the courtyard from my second-floor veranda.
  2. Around 2:30 PM, I saw my father heading for Amara's Tomb.
  3. Then, at about 2:45, I saw Barbed Head and company enter the courtyard.
  4. I saw no one go in or out of the tomb after my father entered at about 2:30.

What Rayfa Witnessed: Cross-Examination[edit]

Press: 2nd statement "Around 2:30 PM, I saw my father heading for Amara's Tomb."

Press: 3rd statement "My father let out a scream and came dashing out of his room -- his face, pale."

Select: Third option Press harshly. A new statement will be added.

Present: Ahlbi's Statement on the new statement: "I had been gazing upon the courtyard since about 2, but father was the only one I saw."

Rayfa will then admit that she saw "that dingbat dog" attack Nayna, so she ran to help. That means that while she was running down from the second-floor veranda, she was not looking at the courtyard, so someone could have entered the tomb without her seeing.

But even after all of this, it seems that the princess is still hiding something. The only question is, what?

Select: Second option "Where Nayna disappeared to"

Unfortunately for us, even though Nayna's disappearance happened around the time of the murder, Ga'ran will point out that the only shoeprints found in the courtyard were that of her husband's. However, the shoeprints inside Inga's private quarters belonged to Nayna!

But what was she doing there? The princess tells us the dog attacked at 2:15, and Phoenix reminds us that the Inga came racing out of his quarters at around 2:30, pale-faced and screaming.

Select: Second option "He was attacked by Nayna"

The problem is, the minister's body was found in the tomb. So did someone move it there?

Select: <Either option>

Regardless, it's entirely possible that Inga could have been stabbed before entering the tomb. But most people would notice would notice if they got stabbed, right? So how could Inga possibly ignore the pain from a knife in his back?

Present: Painkiller Shots

Ga'ran, of course, thinks this theory is ridiculous, but she decides to offer a bargain: she will pardon us from execution and allow us to leave the country if we admit that Dhurke is guilty. So, what do we do?

Select: First option "Continue the defense"

After all, trials exist to find the truth, right? But even we have to admit something about further evidence:

Select: Second option "Does not exist"

Or does it? After all, there's something we haven't looked at yet, but first, we'll need someone's help to uncover the truth.

Present: Rayfa Padma Khura'in

Ga'ran, once again, asks us if what we are about to do is worth it. After all, the princess has already collapsed today, and her Insights have been wrong more than once. Still, there's only one thing left to do now.

Select: First option "Call on Rayfa"
