Items

There are several items scattered throughout the mine, waiting to be picked up. On 1F, there is an X-Defend, and on 2F, an Potion and a Escape Rope can be found.

Instead of getting a X-Defend, in Platinum version you pickup a Poké Ball.

Trainer Battles

On the 2F if you talk to the Worker to the east, just below the 1st Worker and two Machop, he will challenge you.

On the 2F just after speaking to Roark if you talk to the next Worker he will Challenge you to battle.

Events

1. Find Roark

The mine is full of wild Pokémon, giving you an excellent place to raise your Pokémon before challenging the Gym. Roark will return to the Gym as soon as you speak with him, but the other miners will insist on battling you.
