Found at the top of Mount Coronet, obtainable after boss of Team Galactic is defeated. (Diamond only) Dialga is actually one of the easiest Legendary Pokémon to catch. It can be inflicted with every status condition except Poison. It can often be captured on the first turn by using a Quick Ball, but if it escapes then you should inflict it with a non-damaging status condition (Paralysis, Sleep) and bring its HP down to the red zone. Dusk Balls are helpful for those playing during the night, but the Dusk Balls will not receive the cave capture multiplier at other times during the day unlike most other Legendaries. Quick Balls, Timer Balls, Dusk Balls, Ultra Balls, Master Ball

Inside of Snowpoint Temple. Regigigas will wake up when you have Regirock, Regice and Registeel in your team All status conditions will work on it. Use it Slow Start to your advantage (reduces Speed and Attack for the first five turns of battle). Use this time to inflict status problems and do damage (it's not very sturdy so don't hit it too hard). Once Slow Start wears away, it's going to be tougher, so switch in a good Ghost Type Pokémon as many of it attacks will not effect them. Ultra Ballsx40/Dusk Ballsx40/Timer Ballsx20

A random room in the Turnback Cave Giratina is a hard Legendary to catch, as it has the moves Shadow Force, Slash, and Earth Power, and it has a ton of HP, but with persistence you will catch it. Once you encounter it, do the down to red/status problem strategy. Note that False Swipe will not work so do not try it, unless you use Foresight before using it. Once you weaken it, use Dusk Balls, even if it feels like it is not giving in. It will eventually. Also, watch out for its move Shadow Force, not only because it's powerful but also because you can't catch it when it is not visible. Staraptor is a good Pokémon to use, as very few of Giratina's attacks affect Staraptor. Dusk Ballsx70/Timer Ballsx30

Randomly appears in different places as you switch between Routes or go in buildings This Pokémon runs at any chance it gets. Using Mean Look stops it from running. Any damage or status conditions it received before running stay on it, so it is useful to use attacks to lower its HP as low as you can. A Weaville or Sneasel (very good speedy Pokémon) with False Swipe (if the Pokémon that Flase Swipe is being used on would faint, it retains 1 HP) can make this battles so much easier, quicker, and less of a hassle. After it is in the red and/or has a very good ailment (sleep and freeze are the best), start chucking balls at it. It will be captured eventually. Quick balls are your best choice, while fighting it at night with Dusk Balls handy is a great idea for the 4x capture rate compared to the Ultra Balls' 2x. Inside cave in the middle of Lake Acuity One of the easiest Legendaries to catch. Go through normal capture routine, and throw 4x effective Dusk Balls for an easy capture! Should be caught in 10-15 turns. Dusk Ballsx30/Timer Ballsx15

Inside cave in the middle of Lake Valor Same as Uxie's, except Uproar does not allow this Pokémon to sleep, so use something like Sing, not Yawn as it will use Uproar the turn after Yawn. Same as Uxie's

Flying
Appears in front of the Valley Windworks building on Fridays It is not very difficult to catch one, as you might catch it with a Quick Ball if you throw one on your first turn. It is also immune to Normal attacks since this Pokémon is a Ghost type. Quick Balls, Great Balls

Appears in the Hallowed Tower once you have the Odd Keystone and have talked to at least 32 other people in the Underground (or the same person 32 times) Spiritomb will be level 25 when you encounter it, so bring Pokémon of that level. You only get one chance to capture Spiritomb. If you fail, you have to speak to another 32 people in the Underground (or the same person 32 times) Spiritomb will exert it's pressure and it uses Hypnosis, which can really screw your game plan up, so make sure you bring multiple Pokémon just in case things start getting tricky. An attack that works wonders against Spiritomb is Shadow Ball, so if you have that move available or have a Pokémon that already know it then take advantage of the situation and use it. Great Balls, Ultra Balls

Appears in the Old Chateau at night (8pm to 4am) after obtaining the National Dex and talking to the Eterna Gym Leader outside the path to the Old Chateau. Once inside, go up the stairs and through the doorway in the back. Go in the room with the television and examine it. Throw a Quick Ball. If that doesn't work, keep throwing Ultra Balls.
