The trainer information screen provides an overview of your progress. Your trainer and Buddy's avatar and names are displayed. Your Trainer level is displayed below, with a progress bar showing how much experience you need to reach the next level.

You current collection of PokéCoins is displayed, and will link to the Shop, along with your start date and selected Team. All of your Medals are displayed as icons at the bottom.

Clicking the context menu at the bottom right brings up three options: Journal, Buddy, and Customize.

Journal

This shows all the notable events that have happened to your trainer, with the time at which they occurred.

• Pokémon caught, with a picture of the Pokémon and their CP.
• PokéStop collected, along with the items collected.

Buddy

Buddy Screen

You can also access the Buddy screen by clicking on the image of your Buddy. At the top of the screen is an indicator of how strong your Buddy's bond is with you and a few buttons to interact with your Buddy in AR mode. There's also a button for a shared AR+ mode.

Today's Activities

You can increase your Buddy's bond with you by earning Hearts. You can earn Hearts in 7 different categories:

• Walk together (3 Hearts) - Once your buddy is walking with you on the main map, they will track your distance. You earn a Heart for each 2km you walk together.
• Give your buddy a treat (3 Hearts) - By playing with your Buddy, you can feed them berries. Regular berries give 2/6 towards a treat, and Golden Razzberries give 3/6. Once you've fully fed them, they'll appear on your screen. You cannot get another heart for this until your Buddy disappears from the map.
• Play together (1 Heart) - From the buddy screen click "Play" and you can pet your Buddy to get a Heart.
• Battle together (1 Heart) - If your buddy is in your team that battles in PvP (including against the team leaders) or in a raid you'll get a Heart. The buddy doesn't need to battle, just be in your team.
• Take a snapshot (1 Heart) - From the buddy screen click "Play" and there's an camera icon to take pictures of your Buddy.
• Visit a new place (1 Heart) - Spin a gym for a heart.
• Bonus (3 Hearts) - Your Buddy will sometimes bring a Gift for you to open, a Souvenir for you to keep, or find a new Pokéstop for you to spin. By completing the interaction you earn a Heart.

You can earn a maximum of 23 hearts per day. If your Buddy gets excited, your buddy can get double the number of regular hearts.

Candies

This section shows how far you have walked with your buddy and how many Candies you have for that species currently. It also shows a progress bar with details on how close you are to your Buddy finding a candy. If your Buddy gets excited, the distance needed will be reduced. Buddy distance requirements are listed in the Pokédex.

You can swap buddies from this screen. You can increase your bond with up to 20 Buddies per day.
