Gameplay in Pokémon Smile is based on brushing your teeth in front of your phone's camera, and cleaning Pokémon so that you can catch them.

Get Brushing![edit]

Click the Get Brushing! button to start cleaning your teeth. The front facing camera will show your face wearing your selected Pokémon cap. As you brush, your chosen pokémon will attack the germs and clean the on-screen teeth and the dirty pokémon. You need to finish cleaning the Pokémon before the timer counts down to 0.

Once the timer reach 0, depending on how well you cleaned the Pokémon, you'll have a chance to catch it.

While you were brushing, the game took 4 pictures. You can choose one of them to decorate. Choose a framing and put stickers however you want. At the end, save the decorated picture to your device.

Pokédex[edit]

All caught pokémon will show up in your Pokédex. They are organized into 7 lands: Forest, Ocean, Sky, Cave, Volcano, City, and Field. At the beginning, they will all be empty, but can be filled in as you catch more pokémon. You can also view the Full List of unlocked Pokémon organized by their Pokédex number.

Pokémon Caps[edit]

You can select which of your unlocked Pokémon Caps to use while brushing your teeth. Each has a unique animation.
