As you enter Icirrus City from Twist Mountain, Cedric Juniper arrives, talking to you about the Dragonspiral Tower in the city's north. He claims it is the oldest building in Unova. Now, before challenging the 7th gym, you can explore the city.

Fan Club
The Fan Club is a large building in the west of the city. If you show a trained Pokemon to the chairman, he'll give you a different time: if it has grown 25-49 levels, you can earn an Exp. Share, 50-98 for a Cleanse Tag, and 99 for a King's Rock. This is useful, as you can obtain more Exp. Shares beside the one you got in Castelia City.
Icirrus Gym
The gym in Icirrus City is 7th in line and specialises in Ice-type Pokemon. If you have Emboar or Simisear, this will be an easy fight, or else you can use TMs like Brick Break, Flash Cannon or Fire Blast.
The puzzle is based on ice skating. You can rotate the spinners to reach different trainers. Eventually, after several jumps, you will reach Brycen.
- Leader Brycen
Note: If using a Fire or Rock-type, watch out for Beartic's Brine.
After defeating Brycen, he will give you the Freeze Badge, as well as TM79, containing Frost Breath, an Ice-type move which is always critical. As you leave the gym, you encounter Cheren and Bianca, as well as Brycen, who steps out of the gym to confront the Shadow Triad. Claiming that Ghetsis is testing you, and wants you to go to Dragonspiral Tower. So head north into the tower!

As you head north of the city, there are a few trainers to challenge before you enter the tower:
Now, enter the tower. In total, there are nine Plasma Grunts to face here, either on the 4th or 6th floor.
As you reach the top floor of Dragonspiral Tower, N is there, having already befriended one legendary dragon, Zekrom (if you're playing Black) or Reshiram (if White). Going back to the entrance, Alder arrives, saying that the Relic Castle, in Unova's desert, may hold hints about the myth of the dragons. So now, fly to Nimbasa City and make your way to the Relic Castle!
Relic Castle
Trainers coming soon
Team Plasma are hiding out in the back of Relic Castle, which can be explored now that the sand is cleared. Use the back doorway, then use the right quicksand drops to reach the lowest floor. Once you arrive there, you'll find Ghetsis, Alder, and Cheren and their discovery that the right dragon stone isn't here. Just as you leave the Relic Castle, Prof. Juniper calls on the Xtransceiver, asking you to come immediately to Nacrene City. So now, fly there!
Nacrene City
In the Nacrene Museum, Lenora will give you the right dragon stone. Lenora tells you about the Dragon-type specialists in Opelucid City, and how they might be able to help. Now that the quest is finished, you can fly back to Icirrus City and continue your journey to Route 8!
