Beware! As soon as you cross the bridge your rival will fight you. Be sure to heal at a Pokémon Center and save before the battle.

Tasks

  • The Move Deleter lives in a house above the Poké Mart. Only he can delete HM moves.
  • In the very first house you see when entering from the east, a girl will give you TM48 (Skill Swap).
  • A Jubilife TV reporter lives in the house directly below the Gym. Answer her question, and your interview will be shown throughout Sinnoh!
  • The ship waiting at the Canalcave docks can take you to nearby islands. At first, Iron Island is the only accessible destination. Iron Island is optional, but it is a good place to earn Exp. Points and you will earn a rare egg for your trouble.

Rival Battle

Your rival will appear to challenge you to a battle when you step onto the wooden bridge that splits Canalcave City in half. This is quite an easy battle, but be sure to heal at the Pokémon Center before you start!

Gym badge #6

In this Gym, Steel Pokémon are used, so get used to using your Fighting, Ground, and Fire-Types. Poison-Type moves don't affect Steel Pokémon at all.
