Popeye 2/Level 2

Once Popeye has reappeared on the ground outside the Biff Spinach Factory, you will have to walk to the right while watching out for a bouncing spring, and climb up a drainpipe to a platform (while watching out for an anvil being dropped out of the window); once you have done it, you will have to jump to the right onto another platform to defuse a bomb. You'll now have to jump back to the left onto the first platform and a third one in turn, climb up another drainpipe to a fourth platform, jump down to the right onto a fifth one, and jump up onto a sixth one to defuse a second bomb - and once you have done so, you will have to climb up a third drainpipe to a seventh platform (while watching out for another bouncing spring), and jump to the left onto an eighth platform to defuse a third bomb. You will then have to climb up a fourth drainpipe to a ninth platform while watching out for a rolling barrel, and jump up to the right onto a tenth one (while watching out for another rolling barrel) to defuse a fourth bomb; once you have done it, you shall have to drop down to the right onto an eleventh platform to defuse a fifth bomb. You will now have to jump back up to the left onto the tenth platform and drop down to the ninth one in turn, while watching for three falling barrels, climb up a fifth drainpipe to a twelfth platform, walk to the right, climb up a sixth drainpipe to a thirteenth platform, and drop down to the right onto a fourteenth one to defuse a sixth bomb (while watching out for a third bouncing spring) - and once you've done so, you'll have to jump to the right onto a fifteenth platform, climb up a seventh drainpipe to a sixteenth one, and walk to the left to defuse seventh bomb. You'll then have to climb up an eighth drainpipe to a seventeenth platform, then walk to the left to defuse an eighth bomb; once you've done so Swee'Pea shall fall down onto the platform from the top of the screen. Once you have walked back to the right and touched him to freeze him again (while watching out for a fourth falling barrel), you have to climb up a ninth drainpipe to an eighteenth platform, as a Goon emerges from a crate on a nineteenth one and a can of spinach bounces up from the bottom of the screen - and once Popeye has collected the can, you shall have to jump back to the left onto a twentieth platform, climb up a tenth drainpipe to the nineteenth one, while watching out for a blowlamp and a flame jumping out from an oil drum, walk to the right to defuse a ninth bomb, and punch the Goon repeatedly (if Popeye should run out of spinach power again, another can will bounce up from the bottom of the screen for him to collect). Once Popeye has punched this Goon enough times, he will recede into his crate.

You'll now have to climb up a ladder to a twenty-first platform, walk to the left, climb up another ladder to a twenty-second platform (while watching out for another blowlamp), walk to the right, climb up a third ladder to a twenty-third platform (while watching out for a third rolling barrel), jump back to the left onto a twenty-fourth platform, climb up a ladder to a twenty-fifth one (while watching out for a second flame jumping out of a second oil drum), and jump up to the right onto a twenty-sixth platform to defuse a tenth bomb; once you have done so, you will have to climb up a fourth ladder to a twenty-seventh platform, jump back to the left onto a twenty-eighth one (while watching for a fourth rolling barrel), and defuse an eleventh bomb as a second can of spinach bounces up from the bottom of the screen. Once Popeye's collected it you will have to climb up a fifth ladder to a twenty-ninth platform (while watching out for a third blowlamp) and walk back to the left to defuse a twelfth bomb - and once you have done it, you will have to walk back to the right and punch Brutus repeatedly (again, if Brutus hits Popeye with his club and knocks him down or Popeye runs out of spinach power, another can will bounce up from the bottom of the screen for him to collect). Once you've punched Brutus enough times to defeat him again he will fall off the bottom of the screen again; Popeye shall then walk up to Olive again as another heart appears between them and the remaining value on the bonus timer (which, again, starts at 400) is added to your score unless it's run out. Popeye will then proceed to Level 3 (Amiga version password: SOOTY).
