Despite not being able to race against others, the game does have some online features. After setting a time on one of the courses on Time Trial mode your time should be submitted onto a leaderboard. Statistics also get submitted. To view the online leaderboards go to "Achievements" from the main menu and then "Online Leaderboards" and you can view the worlds best or your time. Ghosts can also be downloaded of the worlds best to see how the best players get the best times on different tracks, these are deleted from the game as soon as it's turned off though.
