Mii waits outside her estate for Kogoro to appear. She is troubled by the theft of the Portalstone, a sacred treasure of the Koryuji clan. Before they can talk about it monsters suddenly appear.

The first battle teaches basics mechanics such as controlling units and using the menu. There are three Oros Serpus that need to be defeated.
After the monsters are defeated, Kogoro and Mii are confused about why the monsters would come back if they already have the stone. They look around to investigate.
