The warp begins in the direction that you are aiming in View Mode.
The counter in the warp shows the distance. If it stops, you have left the galactic system.
When you encounter enemies, investigate with the S Sensor. Then equip your Phasers or Torpedoes and destroy them.
When the area is clear, or if you sustain heavy damage, dock with a base to recover.

Playing Tips
Use torpedoes to destroy any meteorite which is obstructing your attempt to move or dock with a base.
Small bases can only restore energy, they cannot repair damage or restore lost torpedoes. To do that you must find a base.
You will suffer damage if you remain for too long in a field with a shining planet or a sun.
You will instantly lose if you navigate to a field with a black hole.
Energy is lost every time you fire your Phaser, accelerate, or warp. Energy consumption of the Phaser is proportional to the damage it does.
