A button Talk to people, attack with anything
B button, Z button Respond to a spirit bubble and a chest
Start button Pause
R button Item menu
Up c Pick a fire spirit, and use fire magic
Left c Pick a earth spirit, and use earth magic
Right c Pick a wind spirit, and use wind magic
Down c Pick a water spirit, and use water magic (and pick a wind spirit means what you do after you respond to a spirit bubble)
