Andy Bogard (アンディー・ボガード) is the brother of Terry Bogard and the son of Jeff Bogard. Although he is of American descendant, he was raised and trained in Japan (unlike his brother Terry).
After Geese Howard obtains the Jin Scrolls, Geese holds another "King of Fighters" tournament. Andy stubbornly demanded that he face Geese alone, despite the fact that he had a chest wound during the events of Fatal Fury 3. He goes off to train for the tournament. During the tournament, Terry convinces Andy to fight Geese together. The Bogard brothers face Geese but they are picked off and Geese defeats Andy. Andy is hospitalized but makes a full recovery.
During the events surrounding Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Andy retires from fighting and has trained a new student in Hokutomaru. He enters Hokutomaru into that latest "King of Fighters" tournament to see how far he's progressed. Andy watched the boy the entire time and when he went back to see his master, Andy was gone. He only left Hokutomaru a note, saying that he is proud of him and that they are not master and student, but rivals.
Billy Kane (ビリー・カーン) is a fighting game character who hails from England, loves punk rock and plays the guitar very well. He fights with a weapon that can be either used as a bo or as a three section staff, which he can ignite with fire. He always tries to look out for his little sister Lilly Kane.
Once Geese Howard acquired the Scrolls of Immortality, he set up another "King of Fighters" tournament with Billy acting once again as his bodyguard. Billy fought many fighters to protect Geese including Joe Higashi. While he defeated all challengers, the fight with Joe turned out to be a distraction for Terry and Andy Bogard to enter Geese Tower and face Geese himself.
After defeating Joe, Billy runs to Geese's aid, but is too late as Geese plunges to his death from the top of Geese Tower. In Real Bout Fatal Fury Special: Dominated Mind Billy was brainwashed by the crime lord White was brainwashed to do his bidding. Billy recovered after White's defeat, but was bitter and angry about Terry killing Geese.
Blue Mary (ブルー・マリー), whose real name is Mary Ryan (マリー・ライアン) was born in the city of Southtown. She grew up with only her father in her life. With his time consistently taken by his occupation, however, Mary turned to learning the arts of Commando Sambo strongly influenced by her father who was a police officer of the city. Seeing the society that her father worked in made her also realize the reality of crime and injustice in the world.
Mary is one of the fighters that helps "The Lonely Wolves" reach Geese Howard in the "King of Fighters" tournament before he could use the scrolls to make him immortal. After Geese's death, she became a private detective in South Town and a love interest to Terry.
Bob Wilson (ボブ・ウィルソン) is a cheerful young man who loves to combine dancing with his Brazilian style of Capoeira, often seeking to test his skills out against many fighters so that he can learn the benefits and mistakes of his battles.
Bob is one of the fighters that helps "The Lonely Wolves" reach Geese Howard in the "King of Fighters" tournament before he could use the scrolls to make him immortal. After Geese's death, Richard Meyer appoints Bob as the sole owner of the Pao Pao Café 2.
Duck King (ダック・キング) is a fighter, DJ and bar owner who grew up in one of South Town's many ghettos. His fighting style uses a combination of various forms of dancing (mainly breakdancing).
Duck King is one of the fighters that helps "The Lonely Wolves" reach Geese Howard in the "King of Fighters" tournament before he could use the scrolls to make him immortal. After Geese's death, Duck King decides to take a break and celebrate the new era of peace in Southtown in an all-out party bash at the Pao Pao Cafe 2.
After the Jins plans stopped "The Lonely Wolves", Franco rescued his son. Franco enters the "King of Fighters" encouraged by his family to make a formal comeback as a professional kickboxer. He is also one of the fighters that helps "The Lonely Wolves" reach Geese Howard tournament before he could use the scrolls to make him immortal. After Geese's death, Franco and his son traveled the world, with Fanco testing his skill against other powerful fighters.
Geese Howard (ギース・ハワード) is the local crime boss of the fictional city of South Town and runs the company Geese Connections. He killed Jeff Bogard in front of his son Terry Bogard's eyes.
After stealing the Scrolls of Immortality from the Jins, Geese planned to use them to make himself immortal and then destroy them so they wouldn't be used against him. He organizes another "King of Fighters" tournament to settle his differences with the Bogard brothers Terry and Andy. He almost has immortality in his clutches until he is confronted by Terry and Andy.
He fights them both and defeats Andy in the process. Geese then faces Terry alone, but is once again thrown from Geese Tower. Terry grabs Geese's hand before he falls, but he refused Terry's help and pulled his arm away, falling to his death. Geese is survived by his son Rock Howard whom Terry adopted after his father's death.
Hon-Fu(ホンフゥ) is a Hong Kong based Cop who uses a nunchaku as his primary weapon. He is a good friend of Tae Kwon Do master Kim Kaphwan and the kickboxer Franco Bash. Both have helped each other in bringing various criminals to justice.
While Hon-Fu aided the Lonely Wolves and their allies to stop Geese Howard in the "King of Fighters" tournament, his chief priority was capturing Ryuji Yamazaki, a dangerous criminal. Yamazaki defeated Hon-Fu once before, but faced him again in Geese Tower. Yamazaki was too powerful for Hon-Fu and he was knocked out by Yamazaki. After the death of Geese Howard, Hon-Fu returned to Hong Kong where he still pursues Yamazaki.

As they do so, Chonshu and Chonrei sneak towards the Jin Scrolls. After Terry defeats Geese, he is too late to stop the Jin Brothers from reaching the Scrolls. However, in a surprising turn of events, Chonrei tears up the scrolls despite Chonshu's protestation. Chonrei explains to Chonshu that it is better for them to live normal lives as kids rather than continue their cursed existence as immortals. Chonshu eventually agrees, and both of them leave.

Joe Higashi (ジョー・ヒガシ) is a champion of Muay Thai and a good friend to Andy Bogard. Although Joe's place of origin is Japan, he spent the majority of his time at Thailand, where he trained Muay Thai. It was through his victories that Joe got the nickname "Hurricane Upper" Joe Higashi.
After Geese Howard obtains the Jin Scrolls, Geese holds another "King of Fighters" tournament. Around this time, Joe began to develop feelings for Lilly Kane, sister to Billy Kane. Joe and Billy fought in Geese Tower. While he was defeated Joe's fight with Billy turned out to be a distraction for Terry and Andy Bogard to enter Geese Tower and face Geese himself. After Geese's death, Joe went back to fighting in the Muay Thai tournaments.
Kaphwan Kim (김갑환) is a master of taekwondo, and also considers himself a fighter of justice. Since Kim was young and during his taekwondo training sessions, he was always reminded to fight for justice, and use the martial art as a way to accomplish this.
Kim is one of the fighters that helps "The Lonely Wolves" reach Geese Howard in the "King of Fighters" tournament before he could use the scrolls to make him immortal. After Geese's death, Kim still seeks to fight for Justice.
During the events surrounding Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Kim does battle with the serial killer Freeman. He is defeated in no small part due to his age. After days without calling home and news of the fight reaching Korea, Kim's sons Kim Dong Hwan and Kim Jae Hoon search for Freeman to get their revenge. In the latest "King of Fighters" tournament, Kim's sons defeat Freeman but Kim Kaphwan's current status is unknown.
Mai Shiranui (不知火) is the granddaughter of Hanzo Shiranui, master of Ninjitsu and Koppo-ken. Mai learned from her father the secrets of Ninjitsu, and became an expert in stealth and other sneaky tricks. She is deeply in love with Andy Bogard, though their relationship is unclear most of the times.
Mai is one of the fighters that helps "The Lonely Wolves" reach Geese Howard in the "King of Fighters" tournament before he could use the scrolls to make himself immortal. After Geese's death, Mai goes back to Japan with Andy, training alongside him. Even after ten years in the period of Garou: Mark of the Wolves, she is still in love with him.
Ryuji Yamazaki (山崎 竜二) is a psychotic criminal from southtown who is best known for his unhonorable fighting style and his mental unbalance. He worked with the Jin Twins to protect them and the scrolls of immortality in Fatal Fury 3.
Yamazaki fights in the new "King of Fighters" tournament set up by Geese Howard. He fights and soundly defeats Hon-Fu using his recently discovered Orochi power to overwhelm him. After the death of Geese Howard, Yamazaki returned to Hong Kong. Known as the "Gym Buster", Yamazaki was said to be responsible for beating up members of the Kyokugenryu Karate dojo in Garou: Mark of the Wolves in Kushnood Butt's ending. Needless to say, Butt was not pleased.
Sokaku enters the new "King of Fighters" tournament, dedicated to finding Geese and to retrieving the Scrolls of Immortality, to avoid the improper use of the legendary documents.
After hearing the news of Geese's death, Sokaku thinks that the Jins would go back to using the Scrolls of Immortality for their evil purposes. But to everyone's surprise, Chonrei himself tears up the scrolls, forever banning the curse from the Jin family. Sokaku feels relieved about the decision of the Jin twins, and after burning up the shattered remains of the scrolls, Sokaku travels back to Japan, where he now dedicates himself to training the next generation of Mochizuki sorcerers in case a new evil force threatens the world.
Terry Bogard (テリー・ボガード) is an American fighter and the older brother of Andy Bogard. He is often referred to as the Legendary Hungry Wolf (from Garou Densetsu, meaning Legend of the Hungry Wolf).
After Geese Howard obtains the Jin Scrolls, Geese holds another "King of Fighters" tournament. Andy stubbornly demanded that he face Geese alone, despite the fact that he had a chest wound during the events of Fatal Fury 3. During the tournament, Terry convinces Andy to fight Geese together. The Bogard brothers face Geese but they are picked off and Geese defeats Andy.
Terry held his own against Geese and defeated him by knocking him off the edge of Geese Tower. He grabbed hold of Geese's hand and tried to keep him from falling, but Geese knocked Terry's hand away, plummeting to what is believed to be his permanent death. Sometime after their final conflict, Terry encountered a boy by the name of Rock Howard (Geese's son). Taking him in, he would teach him how to fight as they travel together around the world.
