Red Dead Redemption is an action-adventure game developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games. It is a sequel to Red Dead Revolver. It was initially previewed in 2005, but the first official trailer was released on February 3, 2009. It uses Rockstar's in-house RAGE game engine and uses the Euphoria physics engine for character animation. The game was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America on May 18, 2010, followed by a European release on May 21, 2010.
