Enemies in Renegade tend to fall into two categories: Enemies that have a weak attack and a lot of health, and enemies that have a strong attack but not as much health. In general, you will face off with about six enemies, four of which will be the first variety, and the remaining two will be the later. The boss of the stage will not involve him or herself until three of the enemies have been defeated. It is in your best interest to try to defeat the two enemies with the strong attack first, since they will do the most damage to you, and since they are the easiest to defeat.

The only exception to this formula is on stage 4, where you will only face one style of enemy that wields ice picks. If these enemies hit you, you will die instantly. Furthermore, you will first face a group of four of them before entering the boss' office, where you will face another three enemies and the boss. The boss of stage 4 fires a gun, which will also kill you instantly if you get hit by it.

The basic bruiser of the train station. Doesn't do a lot of damage, but takes a lot of hits before he goes down. This stick wielding thug has no qualms about using his stick against you. Get rid of him before he has a chance to swing it.

Members of this all girl gang should not be taken lightly. Even the weak hitters carry a weapon like a mace or a handbag. The strong attackers of the girl gang mean business. You'll know exactly how they feel about you when they hit you with a chain whip. Knocking them down will defeat them instantly, even if just by running into them.
Stage 3 Boss

Don't expect these car salesmen to greet you with a friendly attitude; they'll give you the business end of their ice pick, and put you down permanently. The car lot is just a front for gang activity, and the boss of the gang is ready to close business with you with a bullet from his gun. In Japan, his name is Sabu and he's 46 years old. He is the head of the Sanwa Agency and a big yakuza boss.
