Characters[edit]

Note that, all attacks used in temple battles are scaled with user's Cosmo value. A higher Cosmo value results in higher damage to enemy stat. In this page, the damage is written in "X% / Y%" format where X is damage to enemy Cosmo and Y is damage to Life.

For example, if Seiya has 400 Cosmo value and uses Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken (Pegasus Meteor Fist), he can deal (400 * 26% = 104) damage to enemy Cosmo, and (400 * 18% = 72) damage to enemy Life.

Pegasus Seiya[edit]

SSODKH portrait Seiya.png

Seiya is the main character of the Saint Seiya series. He is one of the eighty-eight Saints of Athena and serves loyally at her side. Seiya draws his superhuman powers from his Cosmos, the energy of the Big Bang that lingers inside each being and which connects a Saint to his constellation and Cloth. He was sent to Greece to train to become a Saint under the supervision of the Silver Saint Eagle Marin. Seiya trained for six years and defeated ten other trainees to obtain the Pegasus Cloth and the status of Saint of Athena. The Pegasus Cloth represents the constellation of Pegasus, the divine winged horse from Greek mythology. Seiya tends to be the most immature of the Saints, as he frequently jokes and is unconcerned about the consequences of his actions.

Attacks[edit]

Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken (Pegasus Meteor Fist) (26% / 18%)
The Pegasus Saint concentrates his cosmos on the hands and makes positions of the stars of the Pegasus Constellation, then, fires several punches capable of hitting the target at the speed of sound, like meteors.
Pegasus Sui Sei Ken (Pegasus Comet Fist) (18% / 26%)
The Pegasus Saint concentrates many meteors on one point, creating a large comet.
Pegasus Rolling Crash (25% / 25%)
Grabbing his opponent from behind, Seiya leaps up to an extreme height in the air, before coming back down, slamming his foe's head into the ground.

Dragon Shiryu[edit]

SSODKH portrait Shiryu.png

Out of the five main characters, Shiryu is the calmest and most collected. He greatly respects his master Libra Dohko, from whom he learned not only how to use his Cosmo to fight, but also fundamental wisdom for life. He trained at the Lushan Mountains for six years under his tutelage, during which time he befriended the old master's protégé Shunrei. In addition to possessing great physical strength, Shiryu owns one of the most durable Bronze Cloths. Having spent the last two and a half centuries under the mineral-rich waterfall of Lushan, it is harder than diamonds. It is also legendary for the shield on its left arm and its right gauntlet, endowed with powerful piercing capabilities, which have earned the Cloth its nickname as "the strongest fist and shield". Shiryu sports the image of a green and white dragon on his back which is connected to his guardian constellation and only appears as his Cosmo is rising. Whenever his life is in danger, the image begins to fade. Once it completely vanishes, it is a sign that Shiryu's Cosmo has reached zero and he is dead.

Attacks[edit]

Rozan Sho Ryu Ha (Lushan Rising Dragon Lord) (21% / 21%)
The signature attack of Shiryu, it is a moderately basic uppercut that, if connects, knocks the opponent soaring into the air as an image of a dragon devours him. The power of this technique varies with the cosmo of the user. The technique was made famous by its training, to master it is to reverse the flow of Lushan's Great Waterfall. The technique does have one weakness: the left hand of the user will drop for a millisecond, leaving his heart unprotected.
Rozan Kou Ryu Ha (Lushan Great Dragon Lord) (40% / 40%)
A kamikaze technique, "Kou Ryu Ha" is used as a last resort on a foe that can't be beaten otherwise. For the attack, Shiryū grasps his victim from behind and uses his cosmo to soar into the sky. Their energy makes it appear that a Dragon is flying towards the Heavens. Either the air friction from the flight, or the lack of air in space kills both the user and his foe. The "Kou Ryu Ha" is something that Dohko had strongly discouraged Shiryu from using, even going as far as putting a ban on its use.

Cygnus Hyoga[edit]

SSODKH portrait Hyoga.png

Cygnus Hyoga is the Bronze Saint of the Cygnus constellation and was born in the fictional village of Kohoutek, in eastern Siberia. His mastery over his Cosmo grants him superhuman talents, including the ability to create ice and snow at temperatures as low as absolute zero, by stopping subatomic particles. Hyoga is often portrayed wearing a cross and rosary of the Northern Cross, another name for the constellation Cygnus. Calm by nature, he displays a seemingly emotionless exterior, but a more tender side of his character emerges on occasion, such as his deep gratitude to Andromeda Shun for having saved his life and his undying devotion to his mentor Aquarius Camus.

Attacks[edit]

Diamond Dust (16% / 24%)
A windy attack that blasts ice and snow at the opponent in a single, concentrated point. Cosmos energy is frozen to the point of converting all gas into snowflakes, and is then repelled in a straightforward direction.
Koliso (Ring) (24% / 16%)
In this attack, Hyōga's cosmo is released into a ring that surrounds the opponent. The attack's name is Russian, meaning "Ring".
Aurora Thunder Attack (24% / 24%)
This is move is a more powerful variation of "Diamond Dust" where Hyōga clasps his hands together as he expels snow and ice at the opponent.
Aurora Execution (30% / 30%)
"Aurora Execution" is a Gold Saint level attack that Aquarius Camus uses. It is the most powerful ice-based attack, requiring the Saint to raise his cosmo to it's highest, in order to get close to, or reach Absolute Zero. Hyōga learns "Aurora Execution" directly from battling his master, Camus, and is similar to "Aurora Thunder Attack" in terms of execution.

Andromeda Shun[edit]

SSODKH portrait Shun.png

Shun is the Bronze Saint of the Andromeda constellation. He is a merciful and gentle soul by nature and a firm believer in solving problems without bloodshed. This attitude separates him from the rest of the Saints: whereas they will not hesitate to battle when the situation demands it, Shun only allows himself to fight if it is an absolute necessity or if his almost endless patience wears out. In such cases, Shun can become an extremely skilled and deadly fighter. The Andromeda Cloth represents the constellation associated with Princess Andromeda, who was chained to be sacrificed to the monster Cetus in Greek mythology. The Cloth possesses chains that are said to be the same used to tie Princess Andromeda in the legend. These chains are legendary for their durability and defensive nature. They are also renowned for their great apparent length, as they can extend enough to reach light years away, penetrating the very fabric of space. When there is a threat, the chains can give out warning signs and become charged with enough electricity to release shocks of at least 10,000 volts.

Attacks[edit]

Nebula Chain (19% / 19%)
The "Nebula Chain" is an offensive attack involving the Andromeda Chains, usually in the form of chasing and striking at a foe with the triangle end of the chains, the offensive portion.
Thunder Wave (25% / 17%)
The "Thunder Wave" is an offensive attack using the Andromeda Chains, where the triangular end shoots forward, rapidly moving up and down, looking like a bolt of lightning.
Nebula Stream (39% / 25%)
A defensive attack that links directly to Shun's cosmo. It entangles the foe with streams of his cosmo in attempt to paralyze them.
Nebula Storm (35% / 35%)
When the Andromeda Saint's full power is awakened, the "Nebula Stream" becomes the "Nebula Storm", a fierce storm, which crushes his foe. Shun usually uses this technique as a last resort, when his cloth is damaged, and they won't submit to his "Nebula Stream".

Phoenix Ikki[edit]

SSODKH portrait Ikki.png

In terms of personality, Ikki is almost the opposite of his younger brother Shun, and his fellow Saints. Ikki is a loner, cold and harsh, and it is hard for some to believe Ikki and Shun are related due to the differences in their personalities. However, underneath his tough exterior lies a compassionate and kind soul. Although he dislikes teamwork, he comes to battle whenever Athena's Saints need his help and often arrives at critical moments to save his younger brother and friends from certain death. He has a noble, complex and mature character, who never hesitates to sacrifice himself for his friends.

His cloth represents the constellation of Phoenix, which is associated with the immortal bird that is reborn from its ashes found in the folklore and mythologies of diverse cultures. Reflecting this association, the Cloth has the ability to reform itself if pulverized and possibly change into a new form as it does so – other Cloths require a great amount of a Saint's blood to repair. Ikki himself is extraordinarily resilient and hard to kill. On several occasion, he returns from death and it is implied that every time he does so, he receives a boost in strength.

While Ikki is ranked as a Bronze Saint, his potential places him above most Silver Saints. His strength is common knowledge among his peers and fellow Bronze Saints. As a child, Ikki was known as the toughest of the one hundred orphans recruited by the Graude Foundation and would often defend his younger brother Shun.

Attacks[edit]

Phoenix Genma Ken (Phoenix Specter Punch) (30% / 20%)
Infamous for destroying the minds of its victims -- the technique is dealt from either a single fist or a finger, and sends various nightmare illusions to the opponent's brain. The opponent is then trapped within an illusion that is almost indistinguishable from reality.
Ho Yoku Tensho (Phoenix Wings Ascent) (20% / 30%)
The "Ho Yoku Tensho" is an attack that manifests the saint's cosmo as a storm of fire and wind, unleashing a massive, open-handed blow capable of decimating multiple opponents.

Cassios[edit]

SSODKH portrait Cassios.png

Formerly a Saint apprentice under Ophiuchus Shaina. During the final fight for the Pegasus Cloth and the status of Saint, Seiya cut off one of his ears, and he hated Seiya for it ever since. Cassios had great respect and affection toward Shaina; however, he realizes that Shaina had affection toward Seiya. Motivated by this, he takes Seiya's place and dies during the fight with Leo Aeolia in order to wake the Leo Gold Saint from the control of Saga's Imperial Phantasm Punch. As such, Cassios becomes a selectable character at that point in the game, though you never get complete control over him, as you do with the Bronze Saints.
