For the 1999 PlayStation game, see Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage.

Samurai Shodown 64: Warriors Rage, also known in Japan as Samurai Spirits 2 64: Asure Zanmaden, is an upgraded version of Samurai Shodown 64 released in 1998 only for Hyper Neo Geo 64 arcade boards as one of the last games of the arcade board of SNK. Upgrades including gameplay, graphics, sound, and music are all here.

Shiki, Asura and Taizan were newcomers included to the rooster, the combo system from the first game was built upon, offering some pretty cool combo possibilities this time around.

Sadly, the game never received its original ports and also never left Japan, which is very rare to find, again, thanks to the YouTube videos, it was more known by Samurai Shodown/Spirits fans.

A 2D chibi demake was released to the Neo Geo Pocket Color as Samurai Shodown! 2.
