Oichi is the younger sister of the Demon King, Nobunaga Oda, often referred to as the Demon Queen because of her bloodline. Oichi is commonly known as the most tragic character of the series. Though Nobunaga sent her to spy on Azai Nagamasa by marrying him, she genuinely fell in love with him. However, the marriage ended when Nagamasa was killed by Nobunaga, and Oichi was forced to continue fighting in the name of her brother. She began to lose her sanity and succumbed to her own dark powers, killing Nobunaga's retainers (Ranmaru and his wife, Nohime) and Nobunaga himself at Honno-ji, where she is presumed dead. She returns in Samurai Heroes, but has lost many of her memories. Her two main routes allow her to side with either Ieyasu Tokugawa or Mitsunari Ishida (though she only ever refers to them as Lord Happy and Lord Grumpy, respectively). Oichi is a slow character, but if her Dark Hands are utilized correctly, they can make for dangerous weapons. Oichi's battle style is especially suited for crowds, and she is the only character in the game who can attack while moving.
