Sam has reached memphis, but must pass through the suburbs before getting into the main section. This level is split into two sections, both with scattered, hapazard houses.

First Suburb[edit]

The first suburb is simply a set of randomly placed buildings.

There are three triggers that span a row of the suburb, each of them will spawn a set of enemies. These enemies can be attacked or evaded as preferred, as the gate to the second half opens when you approach.

Second Suburb[edit]

This is also filled with randomly placed buildings. However, the door leading into the city is locked, you will have to find an alternate route.

There are two buttons in this suburb - one on the left, and one on the right. When you press them, they will open up the access to the sewers, the end of the level.

Enemies will mostly be minor biomechanoids, easily destroyed with a grenade or rocket. There are other enemy types, and there are four triggers that cause a wave of enemies to attack.

Secrets[edit]

There are seven secrets in this level. The first two appear in the first suburb, and the rest appear in the second.

  1. In the first suburb, about half-way and on the left wall. It is just after the trigger that spawns an arachnoid on the tower. Behind the large building is a small alley containing ammo.
  2. In the back left corner, there is a tree blocking a small section. Destroy it and enter. There is 25 health here.
  3. Second suburb, at the left-hand button. Against the wall and to the left, there's an alley between the two block buildings, with armor.
  4. At the locked door, circle around the left. There's a health behind the pillar next to the door.
  5. At the locked door, circle around the building on the right. There's an armor shard that activates a secret yodeler, which then teleports in three large enemies.
  6. In the back right corner, pick up an item to spring a secret trap that raises a wall behind you. Three minor biomechanoids appear on the surrounding wall, followed by a major on the balcony behind the raised wall.
  7. When the exit to the sewers is open, jump in. If you approached from the locked door, you should reach the secret hole, with armor and 50 health.
