SimFarm/Controls
SimFarm is primarily controlled using the mouse. There are a few shortcut keys available as well.
Mouse Controls[edit]
- Use selected tool
- Toggle internal view of storage structures
Top Toolbar[edit]
Each of the buttons in the top toolbar opens a window. The three weather icons forecast the weather for today and the next two days. The top toolbar also tells you the current week/month/year, and you current funds.
Tools[edit]
The primary window is the Edit window, which has a dropdown along the top to view recent messages, and a toolbar along the left for manipulating your farm.
Connected objects (roads, fences, ditches) must be placed in cleared tiles. You can to place in one tile. You may also drag to place in every tile you drag over. SimFarm does not force the objects into a straight line when dragging.
| Tool | Description |

| Move Object | once to select an object, such as machines, feed, or troughs. again to place it. Machines will drive (or be pulled) to the new location. Other objects will move immediately.

| View Object | on a field to see the field's Schedule window. and hold on any tile to view basic information about it. Some buildings in the town will open other windows when clicked on.

| Plop Paved Road | Paved roads are connected objects, as described above. |
| Plop Dirt Road | Dirt roads are connected objects, as described above. |
| Plop Fence | Fences are connected objects, as described above. |
| Plop Gate | on a fence tile to convert it into a gate. Gates cannot be placed on corners. a gate to open/close it.

| Plop Ditch | Ditches are connected objects, as described above. |
| Plop Valve | on a ditch to convert it into a valve. Gates cannot be placed on corners. a valve to open(green)/close(red) it.

| Plop Hay | to place a full bale of hay.
|
| Plop Trough | to place a full trough.
|
| Plop Tree | to place a tree. Useful as windbreaks.
|
| Bulldoze | to clear a tile. You can drag. Structures and fields require confirmation before being bulldozed.

| PLANT | Used to plant new fields. and hold to view the list of available crops. Release on the crop you want to plant, then place in a clear 8x8 area.

| SPRAY | Used to spray fields. and hold to view the list of available sprays. Release on the spray you want to use, then on each field you want to spray.
