Sky Hunter is an educational game that was developed by Longman Logotron for BBC Enterprises (known as BBC Worldwide since 1995), and released on the BBC Micro and Acorn Archimedes in 1991; it is based upon the seventh serial of the BBC drama series Look and Read (which originally aired in 1978), and the Archimedes version is now only playable to those who still have the original disk and hardware to run it on as an ADF of it was never made for use with Acorn 32-bit emulators.

Story

This Look and Read program asks pupils to solve reading, logic and memory puzzles in order to help three children - Jackie, Butch and Trevor - catch some crooks who intend to sell the Sky Hunter bird illegally.
Pupils are encouraged to: go fishing for word endings with Jackie; fill gaps in sentences by using prepositions; solve a sliding block puzzle; piece together a torn map; search for rhyming clues in a dark tunnel; and find their way around an old boathouse without a map.
