- Tilt Wii Remote left/right: Steer Sonic.
- Tilt Wii Remote backward: Walk backwards.
: Slow down or stop.
: Jump. Hold to charge for higher and farther jumps.
- in midair: Quickly land.
- Thrust Wii Remote forward in midair: Air-dash forward, or perform the Homing Attack if an enemy is in range.
: Speed Break.
: Time Break.
