There are three challenges in the game - the objective is to collect as much money as possible within the time limit, with no pressure of having to complete secondary missions.
Challenge 1
This is a simple setting within the solar system - just transfer goods back and forth between the three locations.
There are also some civilians that offer optional missions, but they are not essential. However, they can still provide benefit that lets you advance in the challenge.
- Routhe Assad (Moon): Deliver 10 Arpulators to earth, and receive 5 cargo slots
- Beth Brasky (Moon): Kill Sally Barris. Reward is $3500.
- Dan Howle (Earth): Get 20 Shara pods, and receive 2 silver. He refers you to Roger Leiss on The Moon.
- Peter Mickael (Earth): Get 3 postcards from each location, to get 5 cargo slots.
- Roger Leiss (Moon, must complete Dan Howle's task): Get 5 Ketraltie to obtain 5 Cargo slots.
- Michelle Sander (Convoy, must complete Roger Leiss first): Complete a bounty to receive $5000 and 1 gem.
Of the ones providing illegal missions, you can turn them in to the contraband officer, but only for a trivial reward.
Challenge 2
Some commodities are prices differently than normal, and there are additional commodoties to trade with.

- The contraband ring, which must be completed in order:
- Dan Howle (Venus) wants 15 Shara pods. He gives 20 bananabis.
- Roger Liss (Mars) wants 5 silver. He gives $17000.
- Jan Seffron (Earth) wants you to bring 10 gems to Mars for Don Braggio. Say there is no password. Reward is $400000.
- Don Braggio (Mars) asks to take out Thorn (Bounty $175000)
- A second contraband ring:
- Dale March (March) has a bounty ($5000 for Chris Brass).
- Tyr Durnat (Earth): Transport 15 spices to Dale March. Dale redirects it to Faye Carrol on Venus. Ultimate reward is $15000.
- Faye Carroll (Venus) has a bounty ($50000 for Hastur Sayeed)
- Harry (Venus) wants postcards. He increases cargo size by 15 units.
- Maryeen Sayeed (Earth) provides a bounty ($2500 for James Croft)
Challenge 3
Some commodoties now have prices based on region. In case of Europa, the prices remain normal for the first visit

The only special event in the challenge is Europa - you need to attack some pirates in order to access the main trading station.
There are some side quests available, but by the time you reach them, you'll already have a means to develop a rapid income through trading.
