Ebon Hawk

You disembark on the north side of the first deck of the Star Forge: if you've returned to the dark side then Bastila must be a member of your party at this time, and your remaining choice is now limited to T3-M4, Canderous or possibly Zaalbar or HK-47.

Elevator

As you disembark you're greeted by four Jedi Knights, led by a female:

Light Jedi Knight: If we don't stop Bastila from using her Battle Meditation the entire Republic fleet will be wiped out! Dark Jedi Knight: We have to find Malak! A victory by the Republic fleet won't mean anything if the Dark Lord gets away.

A quartet of dark Jedi appear from the elevator in the southeast corner of the docking bay:

Light Jedi Knight: We'll deal with these Sith - you get into the Star Forge and find Bastila! Hurry! Dark Jedi Knight: We'll deal with these Sith - you get into the Star Forge and find Malak!

The two groups of Jedi engage in combat: although they're evenly matched in number, the Jedi Knights cannot be reduced below 1 Vitality so their victory is inevitable, and any experience is still received even if they are the ones to kill the dark Jedi. You can simply be on your way but you can help if you want, particularly with the one nearest you attacking the female Jedi Knight to whom you've just been speaking:

If you try to use the elevator door:

The two human male Jedi Knights now guard it, while the Twi'lek male guards the walkway exiting the docking bay to the south:

The female Jedi Knight also guards this walkway:

As you reach the bottom of the ramp in the walkway to the south and enter the tunnel, if you've returned to the dark side and Zaalbar is in your party then he attacks you:

Experience Points (XP) Received:

Any equipment can be retrieved from his remains, and you can return to Ebon Hawk to replace him. On the other hand, you can actually prevent this encounter by entering Solo mode before going down the walkway to the door at the end of the tunnel ahead, beyond which you'll be reunited with your party after an event is triggered.

However, save game before exiting the tunnel via the door: when you approach the junction at the bottom of the ramp in the walkway beyond, this door closes behind you and you won't be able to return to the Ebon Hawk ever again.

Assault droids

Elsewhere on the first deck, a Sith master approaches Lord Malak:

An assault droid approaches, and the Sith master addresses it:

Doors at the east and west ends of the walkway to either side of the junction are each breached by a pair of assault droids which emerge from the tunnels beyond. If you try to use the door behind you to the north:

[This door is locked and will not open.]

All use a droid shield equivalent to an Environment Shield Level 3 and a Heavy Repeating Blaster, while all but that on the left to the east can also use a Flame Thrower:

The remainder of the walkway from this junction to those with the walkway along the southern perimeter of the first deck is symmetrical along the north-south axis in both layout and encounters, so it doesn't matter whether you take the east or west fork. However, the first time you approach either door at the other end of one of the tunnels from which the assault droids emerged, the door is breached, inflicting universal damage and stunning those nearby unless Immunity: Mind-Affecting or Force Immunity: Stun prevents it. In either case, another pair of assault droids await beyond:

Beyond the south doors exiting the tunnels, there's an identical pair of assault droids at the bottom of the ramp in the walkway:

Both sides of the deck can be cleared by returning to the north junction and taking the opposite walkway. An uninterrupted circuit cannot be completed since if you try to use the southernmost door opposite the one already opened:

The east and west walkways now turn back towards the center of the deck.

Dark Jedi

As you approach a ramp down to the walkway along the southern perimeter of the deck, you notice three dark Jedi prevailing over three Jedi Knights in combat in the middle of the walkway below between the east and west junctions. You in turn don't go unnoticed:

These dark Jedi do use Force powers, but after combat with the Jedi Knights they aren't at maximum Vitality:
