The Holder of the Laws, Worrroznor, in his home. The wicker basket is on the right.

Exit[edit]

The exit to the village is in the east wall, and there's a wicker basket by the north wall:

Item(s) Received Wicker Basket

Wookiee Lost[edit]

Worrroznor stands in the middle of the room. You can ask him questions about the lost Wookiee, Rorworr:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Hello, outsider. I heard of your arrival. I trust you won't cause trouble in our village? We don't want bloodshed. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Greetings again, outsider. Please, if you have business here, make it brief.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Can I ask some questions?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: I'm sorry. Like most of the village, I've been preoccupied by these troubled times. I don't really want to speak with you. Well, not unless you can tell me where young Rorworr is. Do you keep track of slaves taken?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I am no slaver.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: I have no way of knowing one way or another. You'll excuse me if I don't take you at your word.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. When did Rorworr go missing?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: It could be ten days or more. He was planning a hunt, and nobody seems to know when he was leaving. He is now overdue. I don't know where to start. It is strange...
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Why do you think it is strange?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: I don't believe he was taken by slavers. Their slave transports haven't been seen around here. If it wasn't slavers, perhaps he fell in the Shadowlands... but he knew them well. I would search for him, but I don't know where to start. My days of hunting the lower forest are behind me.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I could look for him.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: You could. I've never had an offer of help from an outsider. I'll reserve my judgment for when I see results.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Would there be a reward for finding him?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: That would need to be determined. Wookiee justice rewards honor and honesty. You outsiders are a little lacking...
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I'll be going now.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Farewell then. Bacca keep you well.

When you return after finding the remains of Rorworr in the Shadowlands below, you can ask who owns the bolt casing found on the body and tell him where you found it, initiating a trial:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Do you know who owns this bolt casing?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Hmm... let's see if the family insignia is there. Yes, there it is. This belongs to Jaarak. Er... how did you get it?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Tell me something. What's the penalty for murder?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: That would depend on the circumstances. We rarely have such crimes here. Wookiee honor does not allow it. When we have had a murder, the punishment was usually death. There is rarely any justification that would dictate otherwise.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I found Jaarak's bolt casing on Rorworr's corpse.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Oh my... that is... very distressing. It definitely seems to suggest that Jaarak helped in Rorworr's death. I... I can't ignore this. Wait here, outsider. I must address this. I will have Jaarak brought here... And I hope he can explain this... I really do.

Jaarak is brought before Worrroznor, and Woorwill comes to bear witness to the trial:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Jaarak... you know why you have been summoned here. As Holder of the Laws, I ask you to explain.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Jaarak: I won't answer. I can't. Worrroznor, must Woorwill be here?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Woorwill has a bond with Rorworr. He is the closest to family that can be found. He is entitled to be here. Jaarak, please speak. If you are guilty, it means death. This outsider will be given your possessions. Do you want that?

You can alternate between the following responses to move closer to the light side of the Force repeatedly (although this would obviously be an exploit):

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Wait. Go back to the part where I get paid if he's guilty.
KotOR Icon Canderous.png Canderous: Yeah, let's keep the focus on what's important. If there's profit to be made here, we don't want to miss out.
KotOR Icon Bastila.png Bastila: You mustn't let greed rule your decision here. Justice must be served. KotOR Icon Juhani.png Juhani: Greed will lead you down the dark side if you are not careful. You must not seek material gain at the expense of the ideals the Jedi hold dear.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Wait. If he's executed, I get paid? KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Wait. Go back to the part where I get paid if he's guilty.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: That's the law. You discovered the crime, and therefore were also affected by it. You are also a victim. It's painful to know that another Wookiee could do wrong, so the accuser is repaid, as is the victim's family. This will be the first time an outsider has received such reparation. I hope it is the last.
Light Side Points Gained: +2
2. Is there no alternative to death as punishment?
Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: If there were circumstances that led to the attack, perhaps we could consider another punishment. It all depends on what was behind it.
KotOR Icon Zaalbar.png Zaalbar: My life debt won't let me speak for you, Name, but you know Jaraak had justification. Will you tell them? KotOR Icon Jolee.png Jolee: I urge you caution. This may seem like the right path to follow... but you do not know these people as I do. KotOR Icon Carth.png Carth: Good thinking. Jaarak doesn't strike me as the type to murder for no reason.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: This is a failure of honor. It is very serious. Were there any mitigating factors we need to be aware of?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Jaarak, won't you say anything in your own defense?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Jaarak: I killed Rorworr. I will accept whatever punishment is given. It's better if only my honor is tainted.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Woorwill: You did do it? Why? Rorworr was good and honorable! Why did you kill him?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Jaarak: You only need to know that I did it. The reason is unimportant. Woorwill... I'm sorry.

Jaarak won't say anything in his own defense, but if you do so on his behalf and present Rorworr's datapad as proof, you move (much) closer to the light side of the Force:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Jaarak, I won't let you do this. Rorworr was dealing with slavers. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. No, Jaarak should live. Rorworr dealt with the slavers.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Woorwill: What? What are you talking about? Liar!
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Jaarak: Please... don't tell them anything. Rorworr was admired... they need to believe in him. I'm old. I'm not important. Let Woorwill and the others have their hero.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. If that is what you want.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Jaarak: I do. I will take his shame with me. The Rorworr in their memory is a far better one than the Rorworr I killed.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. No, I won't let this happen.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Explain yourself, outsider. If you have information that will affect this trial, I must know it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Jaarak: Don't listen to these outsider lies... please. Woorwill, don't listen.
Light Side Points Gained: +6
1. Rorworr dealt with slavers. The datapad I found on his corpse proves it.
Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Woorwill: But... no. No! That's not... that can't be. Jaarak? It can't be...
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Jaarak: I'm sorry, Woorwill. I didn't want you to know. So much is against us... you need someone to look up to. I couldn't let him betray you... betray everyone. Outsiders are enough of a threat by themselves; we don't need traitors of our own.
KotOR Icon Zaalbar.png Zaalbar: See how this Wookiee truly understands honor? Do you see how important we consider these things, Name? KotOR Icon Jolee.png Jolee: A painful end, but perhaps it is the right thing to do. We shall see. KotOR Icon Mission.png Mission: How awful. Big Z always said how important honor was to his people. It's everything. KotOR Icon Bastila.png Bastila: How sad. It feels like the right thing to do, but... to destroy a hero...
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Well... as Holder of the Laws, I declare Jaarak innocent. I... will see to your release.

After Jaarak's release, Worrroznor speaks to you:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Well, I must say that you are the first outsider that I have been glad to know. You have surprised me. Perhaps some of you are capable of honor after all. You are deserving of your reward.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. My reward? What reward?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Did I not explain? As the person that discovered the crime, you were also affected by it. You would've been given a portion of Jaarak's possessions, but he was innocent. Rorworr, however, was not. Rorworr was wealthy. His family was taken by slavers, leaving him everything. You get one third of this. Woorwill receives the rest, if he wishes. He is still upset, but he is young. He will recover.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Can I ask you if anything is happening now?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Nothing that you can help with. Rorworr's crime is causing a bit of a stir, but it will pass in time. Some of us will be disappointed in him, but we have other enemies to worry about.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Goodbye to you.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Goodbye. Bacca guide you.
Journal Entry Added A Wookiee Lost
Jaarak was not killed for the murder of Rorworr. Rorworr was dealing with the slavers, and was a traitor to his kind.
KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Received: 400

If you later speak to the male and female Wookiees of the village, then they comment on the outcome:

You surprise me with your mercy, outsider. I wouldn't have thought it possible.
The shame of Rorworr's actions will haunt us. Justice was properly merciful with his killer.
Your actions are unexpected. Very few outsiders have shown mercy during their stay here.
Rorworr has shamed us when we needed strength. His death will serve as a lesson in the importance of honor.

Otherwise, you can withhold the evidence and condemn Jaarak to death, moving closer to the dark side of the Force:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Kill him. I found nothing to justify the murder.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Woorwill: Nothing? There was no reason? You just killed him? Why! There has to be a reason why!
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Jaarak: I'm sorry, Woorwill... I can't give a reason. It was between me and Rorworr, and neither of us will talk.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Then let Jaarak die. He murdered Rorworr. It's fact. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Kill him then. Jaarak must *pay* for his crime.
Dark Side Points Gained: -2
Worrroznor: And so he shall. Jaarak, you will be taken from us and cast into shadow. Your hunt ends.
Dialog
KotOR Icon Zaalbar.png Zaalbar: I don't like this decision, but I respect why Jaarak wishes it. He sacrifices to save the innocence of another. KotOR Icon Jolee.png Jolee: There was pain no matter how this ended. Perhaps this is for the best. KotOR Icon Mission.png Mission: Big Z says honor was everything to his people. I... guess he's right. KotOR Icon Bastila.png Bastila: This isn't justice, it doesn't seem right! But... what else could we do? KotOR Icon Canderous.png Canderous: At least he's going to die like a warrior.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: And though we abandon you, may Bacca lead you through your shame.

After Jaarak has been condemned, Worrroznor speaks to you:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Hello again, outsider. I... wish you had not seen us at our worst. A murder with no reason... it's unsettling.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Is there a reward for my service?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Yes, yes there is. You are to receive the credit equivalent of one third of Jaarak's possessions. Woorwill gets the rest. He is the closest to family that Rorworr had left. The others were lost to slavers. Here, take it. I thank you for your help. Now please, just go.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Is there anything going on?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: A few details to work out following Jaarak's death, but nothing that need concern you.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Goodbye then.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Worrroznor: Goodbye, outsider. Goodbye.
Journal Entry Added A Wookiee Lost
Jaarak has been killed for the murder of Rorworr. No defense was offered.
KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Received: 100

If you later speak to the male and female Wookiees of the village, then they comment on the outcome:

Even when serving justice, you outsiders find a way to profit. Leave me alone, mercenary.
Jaarak's fate would be easier to stomach if an outsider had not profited from it.
I do not like that you have seen us at our worst. Jaarak has lost his honor to an outsider.
Jaarak has shamed us. To strike down one of our own... he showed the gall of an outsider.

Regardless of the outcome, experience received varies depending on whether or not the bolt casing was already identified and Jaarak accused in Woorwill's Home before coming to Worrroznor. However, the final experience received is always the same (1800 in total).

Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 1400-1800 Jaarak tried for the murder of Rorworr

If you return to Woorwill's home after Worroznor's judgement:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png Woorwill: Thank you, outsider. You are... like I thought Rorworr was. Please, leave me. I want to be alone for a bit. I still thank you... I just need some time to think about things. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Woorwill: You? Why are you here? Haven't you done enough? Jaarak is dead and Rorworr is dead and... and... Just leave me alone. I don't want to talk to anyone.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Jaarak: I don't know how to thank an outsider. I never thought it possible. Thank you. I just wish... that you hadn't seen us at our worst. We can be so much better. We must be.

If you speak to the wandering Wookiee female in the village:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png Wookiee: The body of Rorworr was found. He was a promising warrior. We will mourn him fiercely. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Wookiee: Rorworr was missing, but you know that.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Wookiee: This is no secret to you. For whatever reason, you made certain justice was merciful in this matter. I still do not trust you, but you have a small measure of thanks for this. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Wookiee: You know this. You made certain his killer was executed. Was it for justice, or just the payment you received? Go on, mercenary, leave me alone. I haven't the money to pay for your loyalty. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Wookiee: You caught his killer and showed that justice can be merciful. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Wookiee: You caught his killer and made sure he was executed. I am grateful you have kept order, but the whole matter makes me sad.
