Main page for ports/remakes

Do all ports/remakes of games with a different name get their own main page and a shared table of contents? Does the amount of content additions/changes matter? For example, 3DS ports with 3D at the end of the title that had additional content (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D). I separated Code of Princess and Code of Princess EX, but I believe the actual gameplay differences are minor feature changes and rebalancing. Tedium (talk) 23:17, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

This can be a little subjective. It depends on how much have changed from the original to the remake, and how much time as passed between them. We do have guides where multiple front-pages share a Table of Contents, like Super Mario Bros. or Street Fighter II. If you look at the guides for Dragon Warrior III, you can see that we try to incorporate info for multiple release within a single guide, although the level of success we achieved is debatable. All in all, use your best judgement. Procyon 02:15, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
I think in this case it's really up to you. They were released 6 years apart, but if it's essentially a straight port, they can probably be merged. If you go that route, the alternate name should be categorized with the appropriate categories. It's probably easier to do a separate main page. -- Prod (talk) 06:13, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

Template:Col

I've updated this template to be more mobile-friendly. Please let me know if you encounter any pages/ToCs that look strange. -- Prod (talk) 17:39, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

A minor issue, but columns aren't evenly spaced when nested: for example, the top sections of the table of contents for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords are divided into four columns, with the Getting Started section in the first and the Walkthrough section in the next three, and the Walkthrough section has the Quest for the Star Forge or Lost Jedi section in its last two columns. Thanks for pointing that out, I believe I've fixed the problem. It will take some time to propagate though. -- Prod (talk) 14:08, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

Template:Spoiler not working

Template:Spoiler stopped working at Stardew Valley/First Spring. Can you help? Tom Haws (talk) 02:30, 19 April 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing it out. Seems like one of the styles broke. Looking into it. -- Prod (talk) 03:07, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
Should be fixed now. -- Prod (talk) 03:51, 19 April 2020 (UTC)

Rename

Should these games be renamed?:

Since it says here to omit macrons. -BrownDerby (talk) 17:05, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

Regarding Okami, the english release had the macron in it, not as a translation. -- Prod (talk) 17:50, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
