  • Level Select/Extra Lives/Extra Difficulty: At the main menu, put the cursor on options:
    • Controller 1: hold A button + B button
    • Controller 2: press Start button

You will go to the options menu where you will now be able to select up to nine lives, set the difficulty to very easy and mania, and choose which level to start at.

  • Play with the same character in 2 player mode: On the title screen:
    • Controller 1: hold Right dpad + B button
    • Controller 2: hold Left dpad + A button, hold C button

You will now be able to choose the same character in 2 player mode when the menu appears.
