Toy Time Galaxy is accessible in the Engine Room with 40 Stars.

Star 1: Heavy Metal Mecha-Bowser

Mario starts at a toy train station with two trains. One is long, while the other is short. The leader of the Toad Brigade is on the long one, while the glasses toad is on the short one. It's best to take the long one so you won't fall off too quickly. Once you take the launch star to planet #2, go left. You'll see two vertical pipes. Wall jump between them to get 1 Extra-Life mushroom. After that, go to the pink ground to walk on the wall (you'll see the green ones at the toy robot, they use the same thing) to find a ? block. After getting Star Bits from the ? block, veer on to the pink surface on the right. Watch out for the laser robot.

Spin the screw to stop the spinning fan for Star Bits. Then you'll find a Launch Star in a cage. Spin the gold screw to free it, but don't go forward, or you'll die. Instead, veer back to the blue Gearmo (the guy with the black gear behind it) to see a yellow one in the distance. Kill the Mecha-Bowser by ground pounding its back for a coin. Go in the hole on the blue platform next to the yellow gearmo to find a blue screw. Spin it to extend a ledge over the gap under the launch star. Go across it to the launch star to get to the toy robot. At the end, get a Spring Mushroom to bounce to his head then ground pound the tall stack of stone wheels to destroy it, rescuing the Gearmo from Planet 2's friends. Get the Power Star as the friends are damaged from the explosion, but are actually okay.

There is a hidden 6-life mushroom around the corner of the drone.

Star 2: Mario Meets Mario

For the time being, ignore the Hungry Luma you meet on this level.

You start at the trains again; ride them to the launch star. Launch to a planet where you need to find the 5 yellow star chips. Get the one on the laser robot next to where you land, the one in a crystal, and the one over a ground-pound spring, then find the blue screw. Get the chip on top of it, then spin to screw it down, which makes the huge screw in the planet go down. Go to the other side of the screw and get the final star chip there. The launch star appears right where you are standing. Take the launch to a set of tiles that looks like an 8-bit Mario. The green tiles shrink then disappear when stepped on, the yellow platforms start rotating infinitely when stepped on, and the red is lava. Long jump and run around the platforms and get the 5 silver stars. As long as you don't stay on a platform for too long, you should be fine. The easiest path is to long jump forward from where you start, then go counter-clockwise around the area. When you collect all the silver stars, the Power Star appears where you started.

Star 3: Bouncing Down Cake Lane

You see the trains again but the launch star is now on the right side. After you take the launch star, use the Spring Mushroom to wall jump between the cake slices. Use the high jump to get over the chocolate bars on the conveyor belt. Next, jump up to an orange cake. Spring over the holes and up to a sling star.

You land on the bottom of an ice cream cone. Jump between the poles and land on some rotating lollipops with a Ring Beamer in the center. Jump over the shockwaves to land on an ice platform. Traverse the small platforms by running (not skating), but watch out for the enemies. Climb the pole to the cannon, or go behind the structure to find a Life Mushroom. Shoot to some pull stars with a launch star in the middle, and get the Star Bits if you want.

At the next part, go up the forks and spoons in the side of a cake onto the cake itself. Blow out the candles by spinning near them. A launch star appears after you get all of them. Take it to the boss planet.

The boss is an Undergrunt Gunner. His cannon is in the middle on top of a jar. The boss attacks by shooting electric projectiles out of his cannon, which try to home in on you. To beat him, locate the Spring Mushroom, get it, and spring on top of his cannon. Ground pound it to damage the cannon. Do this three times to defeat the boss. After the second hit, he sometimes electrifies his cannon. During that time, you cannot touch his cannon. The Power Star appears on top of the jar.

It is also possible to beat the boss without a spring. Stand on top of one of the Fire Pressures around his cannon, then backflip + wall jump + spin up to his cannon. Then, you can pound it and repeat to defeat him.

Star 4 (Fast Foe Comet): Fast Foes of Toy Time

This is the same as the hidden planet in Star 6 (see below), except with faster moving enemies and platforms.

Star 5 (Purple Comet): Luigi's Purple Coins

This is a difficult star to get. You land in a corner space of a very large area that forms an 8-bit Luigi. Every space of the area is a hazard, except the platform you start on. The green spaces start to disappear once you step on them, the yellow spaces begin to rotate when stepped on, and the dark green, swampy area will immediately make you lose a life when touched. There is also the ever-present danger of falling off, of course.

As usual, the goal is to collect 100 purple coins which are scattered around the area. Once you obtain 100 coins, the star will appear on the platform where you started, so try to move in a circular path. There are a total of 150 coins in the entire area so it is OK to miss a few. There is no reward for getting all 150 coins, so don't look for one. Occasionally there will be small groups of coins (about 5) in a clump off the border of the area. To get these, a very efficient way is to jump toward them, and quickly spin to move yourself to the cornered square. There will also be large gaps where coins are in a line. Long-jumping is the best way to get these coins and to get to the other side. Lastly, don't worry about the clock. You have plenty of time to complete this so stay focused mainly on not falling.

Star 6 (Hidden): The Flipswitch Chain

This section is a stub. Help us expand it, and you get a cookie.

Enter Star 2. Proceed through the level as for Star 2. When you meet the Hungry Luma, feed it 50 Star Bits. Take the new Launch Star to a planet that looks like a section of a chain, hence the name. You need to activate the 15 flipswitches. On the first part, there are 3 which are all inside the safe zones of the Tox Boxes. Next, long jump or backflip to the second part of the chain. There is one group of three switches guarded by a Tox Box, but only one is in the safe zone, so watch its movements and plan accordingly. There are 3 more groups of 3 switches that have spiked platforms moving across them. After you activate them all, the star appears on the small brown block. Jump to get to it.
