This mode has appeared in every game in the Smash series, but now it has some differences:

  1. There are 5 stages that scale in difficulty which all characters share.
  2. The targets colored rather than being only red and white.
  3. Every stage is outdoors, and some have terrain effects like ice.
  4. Now you can play it with 2 players simultaneously.

The first difficulty you start the game with, but you must unlock the next 4 difficulties.

How to unlock

  • Level 2 (Medium): Play this level in Classic Mode on Easy or Medium difficulty.
  • Level 3 (Hard): Play this level in Classic Mode on Medium or Hard difficulty.
  • Level 4 (Very Hard): Play this level in Classic Mode on Hard or Very Hard difficulty.
  • Level 5 (Intense): Play this level in Classic Mode on Very Hard or Intense difficulty.
