Who thinks having a section for every floor makes the walkthrough too complex? personally I think we should just generalize the dungeon in itself and highlight important floors (if there are any). Sincerely, Myth 15:34, 20 May 2007 (CDT)

I wrote it like this before I was aware that the floors were so similar. I'm not sure whether the found items and encountered Pokémon varies between floors, but it would make sense to have a general list of things in each dungeon. GarrettTalk 16:28, 20 May 2007 (CDT)

Deletion

This page should be deleted due to the fact that the dungeon already has a more complex and up-to-date strategy for it. Post you r thoughts here. Myth 15:51, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Oppose: You can't delete the Walkthrough page since it's a primary component of every strategy guide here on SW. Instead, you should turn it into a useful Walkthrough Introduction sections. Perhaps something that describes the events of the game before the player is given control, or notes on how to use the content found in the Walkthrough. Procyon (Talk) 15:55, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Or, just put some nice artwork from the game with a short introduction to set the mood. -- Prod (Talk) 20:12, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
A checklist like Pokémon Red and Blue/Walkthrough would make more sense. GarrettTalk 20:16, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
Yea, but you have to be careful not to give out spoilers on what should essentially be the first page of the guide. -- Prod (Talk) 20:26, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
For: I guess that makes sense. But right now it's colliding with an existing, better walkthrough (seen here) for Tiny Woods, therefore it needs to be re-done entirely, or deleted. Myth 21:20, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
BTW, I think the deletion template should stay, so people can state their ideas about the deletion. Also, the step-by-step thing wouldn't work very well for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, so I say the page should be deleted altogether. Myth 21:23, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
Mystery Dungeon has a linear plot; it's quite possible to progress quickly through the game by doing only as many randomly generated missions as necessary to open up the story missions. That is what I was meaning for a checklist. I haven't played enough of the game to make one myself, however. GarrettTalk 22:57, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Myth, this is not up for debate. You cannot delete the Walkthrough page. Period. If you don't like what's on it, then change it!. Stop asking others to do what you are equally capable of doing. Procyon (Talk) 09:14, 29 June 2007 (CDT)

Myth, I'm challenging you with an assignment. Look at this page. Really study it. I want you to design a page with a similar purpose for the walkthrough for Mystery Dungeon, and replace the current contents of the Walkthrough with your design. Do not ask anyone for their thoughts or for permission. The only questions you should ask are technical ones about how to build a page a certain way and only after you tried to look up the answer for yourself and could not find it. We will not discuss this page any further until you have completed the assignment. Procyon (Talk) 09:30, 29 June 2007 (CDT)

Sorry for posting a useless comment, but I gotta LOL. LOL -- Prod (Talk) 20:53, 29 June 2007 (CDT) (ROFL)
I made a start on this—before reading this comment. :P GarrettTalk 02:01, 30 June 2007 (CDT)
I get what you mean. We (or I) should introduce the reader to the way information in the guide is displayed, then they should be lead on to a quick-walkthrough, which cuts the extra stuff and only displays the completely necessary information for beating the game. Then they are lead onto the real walkthrough (such as it is). Just like in the official strategy guides like Prima and such do. Myth (talk) 02:36, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
I'm going to try to start working on the point-to-point walkthrough checklist, and then the main walkthrough section after that. Also, the Red/Blue guide is a very good example. I noticed that and OoT are the main example guides, do to their extensive information and good presentation, obviously. Myth (talk) 02:39, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

Walkthrough changed to "Walkthrough Introduction"

Like in Pokemon Red/Blue. The currently existing Walkthrough section is titled "Walkthrough Introduction" or something like that. Then the blank walkthrough page is replaced with the point-to-point checklist, then it moves on to Tiny Woods. What does everybody think? Myth (talk) 02:45, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

I copied the information from the walkthrough section to the "Walkthrough Introduction" section, and now the current Walkthrough section needs the point-to-point stuff mentioned earlier. I'll get to that as soon as I can. --Myth (talk) 02:51, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
(P.S.I'm trying to do as much of this stuff on my own as I can, but I would like some comments on what I've been doing. Thanks.)
I like the idea of a brief summery/checkbox type of thing on the walkthrough page, sounds useful. --Zaiqukaj 04:54, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
You could just move the introduction to the walkthrough page (add a nice image) and it should be fine. The Walkthrough page is relatively important and should be the starting point for anyone that knows how to play, but needs a step by step guide. As such, it shouldn't be left blank (or useless) for very long (if the guide is under development). As for the checklist, you can put that on a /Checklist page or something. Having spoken with Procyon, I'm going to try and make that change to the Pokemon RBY guide. Also, if noone complains, it means they agree with you (at least as long as many of us go over recent changes). -- Prod (Talk) 10:53, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
That sounds good. I'll go ahead and try to get it done. Myth (talk) 12:05, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
BTW, I still have absolutely no idea how to get an image onto SW, fill out a summary, tag it, and upload it. The Upload Image doesn't help explain everything to me, so it would be appreciated if someone could tell me how. Thanks. Myth (talk) 12:08, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

Chronological?

Even though I theorize the list of dungeons is in the order they would be listed in the areas section of the game they are not chronological in relationship to the order they are encountered. Once I reach these misplaced dungeons in the version I have been combing for the walkthrough there will probably be some shuffling of the order of things. The order of the walkthrough should be chronological right? I just thought I would bring this up a while before it happens so there is a chance for discussion. --Zaiqukaj 08:08, 10 December 2007 (CST)
