Hint Coins[edit]

Wouldn't it be easier to put the hint coin locations on the specific pages with the chapters so you can pick them up as you go, rather than having to keep changing pages as you're going through the walkthrough? -- Prod (Talk) 11:00, 29 March 2008 (CDT)

Mmm...I see what you're saying. The reason I had them separate was so someone who was only looking for Hint Coin locations wouldn't have to search through the whole walkthrough. I can do both if you'd like :) A little cutting and pasting won't take me long. --Skyeunilover 18:22, 29 March 2008 (CDT)
There, taken care of. How's that? --Skyeunilover 23:08, 29 March 2008 (CDT)
I've made a few changes to Professor Layton and the Curious Village/Walkthrough. I'm not really a fan of duplication of content (just means there are two places to add information and keep synchronized). Using the {{sidebar}} template allows you to put off the hint coins to the side, so that they stand out, while keeping them in with the main walkthrough, that way you may not even need the separate hint coins page. My further suggestion is to pick either having hint coins throughout the guide, or all in one place, it's up to you :). -- Prod (Talk) 20:40, 30 March 2008 (CDT)
Okay, I see what you're doing. I like the sidebar addition (I'm still learning how to do fancy stuff like that :) ). I'll work on fixing it when I have time. On another note, I don't know how to take screenshots or where to find public domain images, so any visual aids are going to be lacking for the time being. Thanks for your input! --Skyeunilover 23:21, 30 March 2008 (CDT)
Screenshots are always tough. All I can suggest is google or the official website. However, most of our images are used under fair use, so as long as there's no watermark, the image doesn't have to be PD to use. Have fun with the guide, and let me know if you need any further layout help :). -- Prod (Talk) 23:34, 30 March 2008 (CDT)
Ah, so I can use any images from google? That makes things easier. I have a layout question for you. What do you suggest I should do to separate the heading "Between Chapters 1 and 2" from the rest of the headings...should I make another page for that content? I'm not sure it needs a whole other page, but it should stand out. --Skyeunilover 10:44, 31 March 2008 (CDT)

Chapter Names[edit]

Is Reinhold Manor Awaits the official name of the level, and does the game number the chapters when they are presented (Chapter 1)? -- Prod (Talk) 20:42, 30 March 2008 (CDT)

Yes to both questions. The game is kind of funny with the way chapters stop and start with gaps between them. When I'm writing the Walkthrough I'm trying to make it as clear as possible for people looking for help, so I try to be faithful to the way the game sets up chapter divisions. --Skyeunilover 23:15, 30 March 2008 (CDT)
Ok, in that case I'm going to suggest moving the pages from /Chapter 1 to /Chapter 1: Reinhold Manor Awaits. If this is OK with you, I'll take care of all the changes tomorrow. -- Prod (Talk) 23:29, 30 March 2008 (CDT)
Sure, that's fine :) Thanks! --Skyeunilover 06:33, 31 March 2008 (CDT)
