This template is used to quickly build a diagram displaying the effect of an eight-direction joystick.

Usage

There are nine parameters, corresponding to joystick directions from left to right and top to bottom:

  1. Up-Left
  2. Up
  3. Up-Right
  4. Left
  5. Neutral
  6. Right
  7. Down-Left
  8. Down
  9. Down-Right

You can leave the fifth parameter blank (neutral) to use the Arcade-Stick-Neutral.png image. Skip the parameter by inserting an extra pipe where the neutral effect would normally go.

There are also two, mutually exclusive optional parameters. Floating the diagram takes precedence over fullpaging.

  • float=<left/right>: This will float the diagram left or right for formatting purposes.
  • fullpage=1: Expands the diagram to fit the entire width of the page. If float is also specified, the diagram will be floated instead of fullpaged.
