Hey Notmyhandle (talk · contribs), thanks for taking my idea into heart and executing it (and also thanks for thanking my edit on The Golden Compass/Achievements on implementing a opening sentence/paragraph, which is added to the ideals page on my userspace). I really appreciated it. However, with that applied edit, for some reason, everytime there is an Achievements page that has Xbox 360 achievements, the table header layout creates the text "{{{1}}}" before the Gamerscore image. I do not recall that text being there before. --RAP (talk) 03:02, 30 March 2014 (UTC)

Also, I checked one of the pages that uses this template (or templates relating to this), and it is forced to align/float right in the page. Does this action suggest that all Achievement pages that do not have Template:Achievement info should require using this template? Regarding the template, I think it is long overdue to also add Steam achievements, and Apple's Game Center achievements and points (similar to Xbox 360 achievements) as well (and forgot to suggest the amount of trophies altogether in PS3, and PS4 - unless both consoles share trophies, I haven't checked that). --RAP (talk) 03:19, 30 March 2014 (UTC)

I fixed achievement header so it doesn't use {{G}} and instead just shows the icon. I reverted my changes to {{g}}, as I did not know the template was for use in-line with text. {{achievement info}} appears to be best used on all achievement pages. I do think it should be mandatory, as it gives a summary of the data, so that the long worded descriptions become unnecessary. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:56, 30 March 2014 (UTC)

@Notmyhandle (talk · contribs), you also took another of my suggestions from my edit into account. Thanks again! Some stuff to point out:

  1. The overall trophies counted for PS3 isn't added up correctly.
  2. Even if number 1 is functioning correctly, it doesn't take account whether the platnium trophy is present or not (add 1 if yes with a green checkmark, add 0 if no with a red X).
  3. In Uncharted: Drake's Fortune/Trophies, using only PS3 trophies due to being only a PS3 game, the PS3 icon section takes only 3 out of 4 trophy sections; wheres Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3/Achievements and trophies renders it correctly due to Xbox 360 icon and gamerscore being utilized alongside the PS3 content.

Before submitting, I see that you and Prod (talk · contribs) have already done this. The entries that are striked-out are the ones that are already fixed; there are two more things that must be resolved.

One thing I suggest regarding Template:Achievement_info is mandating the indication of the existence of a platinum trophy in a game. If there is no indication of the info in that template, the user would question it and scroll down the trophies page and attempt to verify it themselves. The platinum trophy cannot just be omitted to tell the user that no platinum trophy exists for the game, it must verify that there is no platinum trophy on the spot with a red X. It is about maintaining consistency on how the info from the table is communicated. --RAP (talk) 20:43, 1 April 2014 (UTC)

2 fixed. Working on 3. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:07, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
All fixed. Red X will always appear if other trophies are present. Fixed the problem where psn was shifted by one. Added an additional, necessary logical operation. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:18, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks for executing my suggestions correctly! I feel that there could be more improvements that could be made in the future:
  1. With PS3, whether trophies by region are separate or altogether (play two region versions of the PS3 game, NA and JP = double the trophies!), but that might be too technical to those that just want to obtain the trophies with their own regionally-correct copy.
  2. Grand overall gamescore and trophies (game plus additional DLC)
  3. In-game achievements that are self-contained in the game, and not tied to the system account.
Right now, we're still behind coverage of the newer achievement stuff: Apple's Game Center achievements, Steam achievements, and Ubisoft's Uplay points. --RAP (talk) 21:54, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
We are English-centric, so we avoid documenting online networks' regionalized changes out of lack of ability to keep up with changes. Also, because Americans/Canadians/British/etc. won't ever see those settings. It is also much more difficult to verify, since you can't access the lists yourself. So no, we won't be adding JP PSN trophy lists. Achievement info should be a summation of all info on that page. The gamerscore, then, is with or without DLC based on the content of the achivements page (most likely inclusive of DLC). Achivement info is only used for Xbox Live and PSN, so additional achievements do not get a summary. They can be viewed in their respective sections of the guide and/or achievements page. Feel free to start templates, or make the list and start a section in the staff lounge. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 23:38, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
