IE problems[edit]

I've just noticed that this template does not display in IE. I'm using IE 7 on XP. I can see it fine in Firefox.

Just thought I should point this out. --Minx 10:17, 29 April 2008 (CDT)

Are there any JS errors? --DrBob (talk) 13:42, 29 April 2008 (CDT)
Yeah, this is the error I get:

Line: 199
Char: 185
Error: 'textContent' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL: http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Bully/Weapons
--Minx 15:46, 2 May 2008 (CDT)

I've made a change which should fix it? Does it now work, or are there other JS errors? --DrBob (talk) 18:19, 2 May 2008 (CDT)
I can see it now however, the layout is slightly different compared to how it looks in Firefox.

Here is a screenshot:

Hope that helps! --Minx 05:20, 3 May 2008 (CDT)

Fixed now? --DrBob (talk) 14:32, 3 May 2008 (CDT)
In IE7 it appears, but does not change the images when selecting a different console in the drop down list. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 18:06, 3 May 2008 (CDT)
Any JS errors? --DrBob (talk) 18:15, 3 May 2008 (CDT)
IE7 has no way to check errors, but on the bottom left - no, it does not say "Errors found on page." --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 18:53, 3 May 2008 (CDT)
The event registration was using the W3C method, rather than the MS method. Does it work now? --DrBob (talk) 19:22, 4 May 2008 (CDT)
Nay. I think we've done all we can Mr. Bob. It's about time we quit beating this dead horse any longer; ya follow? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 02:04, 5 May 2008 (CDT)
Maybe the issue is with the code - using an ID instead of a class (see MediaWiki:Common.css) - also, "control_selector_inner" doesn't exist. Is there a need to use an ID? The only reason MediaWiki:Common.css exists is to contain classes used sitewide - an ID should just be embedded... It also takes less code to embed formatting such as bold text, especially when using Wikimarkup. You may want to look into IE7 exclusive code, isolating the browser and providing a working, less pretty version. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 134.39.214.194 (talkcontribs) .
I think I've fixed it. Just a typo, nothing major (works for me on ie7, trying to find someone with ie6). -- Prod (Talk) 00:43, 23 May 2008 (CDT)

Template Inclusion[edit]

It looks like when the documentation page is loaded, the usage of {{Control selector}} does not appear, even though it works/appears accurately on the documentation page. Is there any way to fix this? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 18:18, 26 July 2008 (CDT)

Only one Control Selector allowed per page. -- Prod (Talk) 22:47, 26 July 2008 (CDT)

Number Limit[edit]

Seems like Control Selector can only list up to 5 consoles. Anymore than that will get ignored. I've put GameCube controls here, but it won't get listed only the first 5 will. Can it be expanded to list more than 5 consoles? Paco (talk) 16:22, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
