Series organization[edit]

I've set the 4 numbered fallout games as the first line, since they're sequentially numbered. 5 should be added to this section when it gets close to release. -- Prod (talk) 23:17, 26 March 2024 (UTC)

These should be ordered by release, otherwise this is unnecessarily confusing and applies a lesser connotation to certain series entries. -Kate Aces FWlogo.png 01:59, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
I agree with Aces! Please list the Fallout games in order of release! It doesn't make any sense to pull out the named ones for no reason! Bow (talk) 02:06, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
As I said on the Discord, I believe at the very least, Fallout: New Vegas needs to be part of the primary line with the numbered titles. It has similar gameplay and story continuity to the others (which are even different starting with 3), while Tactics and Brotherhood of Steel are no longer canon and I know nothing about them, so I can't speak to them. 76 is hard to even make a guide for, due to being a constantly-updated online game, but it is, to my knowledge, considered canon by way of prequel. (If I have anything wrong, I'd love for the Fallout wiki users to correct me!) Brerose (talk) 02:30, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
It does not have anything to do with canon as we don't comment on that. It is incredibly confusing for certain games to be taken out of order based on random fan declarations of canon, which is exactly why it is so important for them to just be listed in order of release. User:Prod has undone Ace's edits twice now with no explanation, we know the Fallout series very well and request as a community that the edits are reverted back to in order of release. I completely disagree with this statement and you can check the edit history "User:Prod has undone Ace's edits twice now with no explanation". -- Prod (talk) 19:51, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
That is useful context! I brought up canon solely because it was brought up in the Discord, I wasn't trying to come off as knowing canon better than the community, don't worry! After rereading your request and doing some research myself, while not being a member, I'll also support the Fallout community's request, for the sake of clearing reader confusion.
