Title override[edit]

Now that it actually changes the title, the notice doesn't make sense. It's saying what the actual title is and that it's only displayed how it is due to technical reasons - but now it's displayed correctly. We could take the note out, but then this is just the {{title}} template. Can we get rid of this template? - najzereT 05:21, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

It should probably mention that the address doesn't change or something. Not even sure if we should really use {{title}}. There are also many reasons why we could use the title template; this can help to classify the different uses. Definitely a cause for discussion. -- Prod (Talk) 18:47, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
The address change doesn't really matter on this one, because the first letter gets capitalized anyway. On other uses, like if it was two words that were both lowercase, we should note the address doesn't change, but then we're back to using {{title}} anyway. It kind of seems like {{lowercase}} and {{title}} should switch implementation, where lowercase would change the title and title would just give a note. I say that because you can use the correct name in the header and footer navs and links throughout the guide if it's just the first letter lowercased. - najzereT 19:46, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Just realized that the names on subpages aren't changed, and I don't think adding it to every page is realistic. It's called {{title}} since it replaces the title. It's called lowercase because it classifies the issue as lowercase and takes appropriate action. -- Prod (Talk) 00:09, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

{{title}} now has a completely different implementation, for when DISPLAYTITLE just isn't good enough. -- Prod (Talk) 23:33, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
