How did you get the images to link to anything you want? [SOLVED]

I recently began a wiki (I'm new to wikis in general), and I'm going nuts trying to figure out how to get an image to link to an article/category (like how this template does it) instead of going to the image's page. After looking at the source for the System browser design, I tried something similar on my own wiki but the images wouldn't link to the proper article. My guess is that StrategyWiki is using some sort of plugin to achieve the end result; if someone could enlighten me on what it might be, I'd greatly appreciate it. --Psythik 22:07, 03 Oct 2007 (PDT)

(Posting anyways) It's actually really simple. Use an external link (single brackets) where you use the URL of the page you want to link to, followed by a space, then the URL of the image stored (not the filename like Image:whatever).

Good luck. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 00:31, 4 October 2007 (CDT)

There's also an "allow external images" option that has to be set somewhere in localsettings.php (can't remember exactly where). Another option is with imagemaps. -- Prod (Talk) 09:40, 4 October 2007 (CDT)

Shouldn't we add Wii U to this list?

I couldn't help but notice this was missing, so shouldn't we do something about this? - mlnintendo97 (talk) 03:23, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
